based on the xtreamer forum:
1. wd caviar green is ok, once you did the dos thing to get the lcc under control
2. samsung f2 is also iffy, but with different results, a lot were saying that this drive usually dont work on bay "a". although some says it works for both bays. and some also reported that the samsung dont get recognized after power down on the etrayz.
4. seagate is actually ok except for its reliability.
3. hitachis i think is the way to go, good news if its cheaper!
and i agree with sir raptor to use the 1.5tb; 5200rpm or 5900rpm models. these models generate less noise and heat as well. i will start with 1.5tb then add another one or even a 2tb once it goes down further in price.
