Mine was manufactured December 2010 as the tag claims sa likod, got it from SnS. i had it for roughly 1 month now and started to notice na meh namumuong puting spot sa lower right corner specially kapag black ung display and madilim. i was hesitant to have it returned kc namount ko na and it will take a lot of effort para sa disassembly but eventually parang lumalaki ung white spot. but the weird thing is, after 30 mins of playtime nawawala naman. now i'm really confused. i need insight from you my fellow LGians.

mga sir new owner po of 32" ld460. ask ko lang po how can i convert 1080p movies na dts to a different format? hindi po supported pag dts.

I think it would be better to just buy a media player that decodes DTS. They can be had for as low as 2,500 (Kaiboer).

I use audio converter, converts DTS to Doldby Digital HD format . . . .already converted all my DTS tracks to DD . . . no problem playing with LD460 . . . .

a few days old pa lang yung sa akin, bought it at sns. everytime the tv boots up we get this on the display:

tapos parang uulit siya ng power cycle for a few minutes, eventually replug ko na lang siya then ok na ulit.
anyone else nagkaroon ng ganitong problema? any solutions? or papalitan ko na lang to sa sns habang within 30 days replacement warranty pa?

I just bought my LG LE5500 32" and HT805PM yesterday from Abensons.
Pag bumibibili kasi ako ang kinukuha ko iyong naka-display at sina-sample nila para i'm sure na walang deffect, tested and burned-in na.
LE5500 = 24, 900
HT805PM = 9990
Free LG Wifi Dongle

Pagdating ko sa bahay it just ate 20 minutes of my time assembling the unit.

Lufet ng sounds, yumayanig hehehe. Nagtest din ako pirated DVD, dupe out yata title bida iyong sa IronMan. Galing, anlinaw! Nagiging 2D, lumalayo iyong background sa character.
Sa Skycable ko, malinaw din.

Gusto ko na umuwi sa bahay at mag DVD marathon.

Problema lang pagdating ko ng bahay eh inaway ako ng gf ko. Nilayasan ako ampft., sumasakit na puson nya dahil may dalaw eh nasa akin susi ng bahay. Awts.. Buti na lang may bagong kapiling sa gabi..

I don't know if le5500 has this software tool for checking the lifespan of your TV because it's included in ld460. Try checking the remote by pressing menu and then the red button. it will show you the lifespan of your TV measured in hours.

not really being a devil's advocate, but...

1. burn-in will happen whether bago or lumang unit, as long as you display the same image for many hours (manual says 2+ hours).
2. may lifespan ang lcd monitors, roughly 100,000 hours. so iyang demo unit, who know how long they've been using it
3. LG has an amazing after-sales service. magka-defect man unit nyo, bnew or not, as long under warranty, you'll have no headaches

sana bnew na lang kinuha nyo lalo na bnew price binayad nyo hehe

anyway, congrats on your new system, basta masaya kayo

baka naman hindi bnew price yan. i bought my le5500 sa ansons in february of this year for 27k with the same HT805 na kagaya sa kanya and i only paid 5k for that, 8k if you bought ld460. anyway at that time abensons sells it for 31k baka naman le5300 ung kanya or kaya binigay ng 25k e dahil nga demo unit yung binili nya. kasi before i bought my tv i visited 9 different appliance stores to compare prices and ansons ang pinaka mura at may magandang deal.

Guys meron ba gumagamit ng HP Simple Save 320gb/500gb/1tb/2tb as hard disk sa LCD tv with built in media player? Kamusta ang performance nababasa ba siya, specifically with LG LCD tvs.

it's just like any other portable hdd, it should work.

when in doubt, double check the hdd technical requirements from your manual (especially external device power requirement), and compare it with the simple save.

Anybody experienced this before? When I leave a video on pause for maybe 5-7 minutes, it unpauses itself and continues playing on it's own. I'm using the built in player and streaming video from the usb port BTW.

Contemplating if I should call LG customer support or not. One more thing I noticed, If I leave it in the usb drive menu where I can choose which video to play for about 5-7 minutes it goes to TV mode automatically. Really weird. Anyone else?

Same experience with me, it is tolerable but annoying. I guess this is normal? Another bothering thing is you cannot set the TV sleep timer while using the TV's built in media player.

Glad to know it's not just me. Anybody has the number for LG customer service? I'ma give them a call later. I mean, it's possible that they aren't aware of this and if we inform them, maybe they can release a firmware update or something.

I know it's a small issue, but you're right. It tends to get annoying. Thanks guys

i think that's normal, though id have to check the manual again. the only one i experience was the media screen going back to tv after being idle for a few minutes. this could be a safeguard against burn-in.

regarding bleeding, it should be white right? pero ako sa observation ko for using ld460 for 6 months medyo madilim yung 4 sides. parang may "vignette."

same with others?

same experience here bro but doesn't bother me at all. Normal backlight bleeding patterns doesn't affect my tv/movie watching.
