I agree with sir Gary. The remote's range is quite typical for these media tanks, so you have to aim it directly to the player (the handset and IR receiver are more directional than some other CE units).

If you want your AV receiver to do the decoding, select SPDIF RAW or HDMI RAW depending on your connection.

Btw, this is a very capable player for the price.

Measy might just be a sub-contractor to several Media suppliers like Daiichi in speakers.

Measy is the main company..other country get from them like Russia, Korea, etc. They are willing to use your brand if you had the volume order. Fyi :-)

That's normal in China

Saw one in EYO, V-Mall, the unit looks great, doesn't feel cheap like cinema tube or xtreamer. Too bad they don't have a demo unit for testing. If this unit will have jukebox capabilities like mede8er or pch, I'll definitely buy one. I'm still waiting for their new firmware, I'm controlling my itch to buy mede8er, sayang kasi matitipid

Just got my Measy last Friday, I find the PQ to be excellent. I used to have a WDTV which has the supposedly superior Sigma chipset, but I really like the quality of this more.

Copying files over the network is very good, I put in a fast 7200rpm drive so I can watch videos while copying files in the background.

I was trying to download torrents at the same time while playing and the player seemed to reset while watching. I updated to the latest .632AW and will observe again. So far its pretty good but i haven't tried downloading torrents at the same time.

Overall, great value for money. I just wish there was more documentation in english, I want to know how to use the web interface/ iphone RC...

Hi guys..the new fw feature cover art. What you need to do is place a jpg file together with the movie file in a folder.

Youtube also is now included.

May new firmware na.. ver8.26... About the remote its truely not responsive at more than 6feet, mahina sagap.. Maybe its becoz of the thick covering (colored dark) in front of the remote transmitter. Im planing to bore a hole and to see if its matches the working distance according to the specs.

wait i noticed something before , a very loud distorted sound come from the unit output when I used an external DVD (on some disk) while loading/ stopping and at resume mode. I already forwarded this "bug"? to the technical guys of messy but no response at all. Duno if this was fixed at the new firmware.

Reg the sound when u use external DVD, I think its on SOME DISK as you mention. Not related to the Measy Player.

just upgraded my measy to the new firmware ver8.26, gumanda na ng UI.
Question doon sa menu, movies, pictures and music, saan ba dapat ang default directory ng mga ito, kasi pag click ko ng movies, 0/0 naka indicate, saan folder ko ba dapat ilipat?

Damn! Ang daming BUGS sa V8.26. Kaya siguro tinanggal sa DOWNLOAD..Meassy should release new update on this. I think nasira pati yong hard disk ko sa kaka-eject. And I need to turn-off my unit in order to work properly again......

I just got my Measy but I can;t seem to set it up.

1. I use a Mac for my computer
2. I have a Netgear router
3. I can't transfer files from my Mac to the Measy
4. I copied the file onto a flash drive and inserted directly to the Measy. Can't copy the file from flash drive to Measy
5. Flash Drive is formatted to MS-DOS (FAT32)
6. How do I set-up for direct download to the Measy?

Would really appreciate a step-by-step procedure.

Yes..6.23AW but 6.23A lang nakasulat. Reg BT and SAMBA turn ON, within the 6.23AW firmware may mga files. You need to place those in the flash drive plug it in te USB slot....Go to Setup...Sytem...Extension Upgrade.

Take Note: The unit need to format your Hard Drive and installed BT/SAMBA.
