saw a college friend a few weeks back and he said he got his 608 sa sim lim for 18K. linagay daw nya sa back pack nya pauwi.

Sir, can you ask your friend what exact store in sim lim he got his onkyo 608 at 18K.  My brother work in Sing and baka don narin ako magpabili.    Tnx

i don't see him often and i doubt if he remembers exactly. he's not a resident of singapore and i would assume he was on a business trip when he bought the amp

sa sim lim, 2 dalawa lang ang audio shops. one is city electronics and the other is alpha audio. my best bet is city electronics.  pero mababa nga yun price na 18K sgd. by the way, i'm based in Singapore. i could check for the prices for you guys.

confirmed price of onkyo 608 is S$ 680.00.  this is already inclusive of tax. (conversion i think is around S$ 1= Php 33.00). btw, this has only local warranty.

Freight is at least 2k so you're looking at a price of a little over 25k in all.

When I was in SG with my wife 2 weeks ago, I was looking for audio shops selling the Onkyo 608.  Galing ako ng Funan, Plaza Singapura, Suntec City and Vivo City, wala akong nakitang shop selling AVR's.  Even Challenger, Best Denki and Harvey Norman didn't carry them.

Anyway, try ko uling bumalik this December.  May wishlist na ako ng bibilhin, and foremost on my list is a bladeless electric fan.  Dyson yata ang tatak.  Very innovative design, me likey!

sa tapat ng funan ay adelphi. puro audio doon. you can find the widest range of audio gears. sa sim lim naman, meron 2 audio shops. yun city electronics gives the most competitive price. got my denon 1909, wharfs 9.1 and sub there 2 years ago. sila yun pinakamura after checking around. they also provided free delivery. lahat kasi nag-charge ng delivery and / or GST (tax). so savings din to.

OT.  as for the bladeless fan, ganda nga nun.  try to google, kasi marami nagbebenta sa singapore. you don't have to go to harvey norman or best denki. makakatipid ka rin.
