This madness all started because I was a fan of films which led me to collecting DVD's in 2003.
Quality of DVD's was a huge improvement over VHS that is why I decided that it was worth my moolah.

"Dolby Digital 5.1", "DTS" & "Enhanced for widescreen TV" labels on DVD covers got me curious about this HT thing.
I signed into pinoydvd in 2006 (I can't really remember how I was introduced to pinoydvd )

Engaging and non-fatiguing.

Sansui AU-20000, I plan to have this restored soon

My very first pair of speakers (Sansui s-517) acquired in 2004, This opened my ears to stereo. I paired it with an old Kenwood receiver.

After the Sansui speakers, I received an old pair of Mission 700 speakers from my uncle, then I purchased a Wharfedale 8.1
I never found my sound preference until I got diy_master's ProAc 2.5 clones from Doc Endrik (funk firm)

Genesis!!! I listen to the ProAc's with Toe in while the Genesis naman wala.
Lately, I've been enjoying the Genesis more than the ProAc's (truly miracle speakers)
Hard to believe.

Haha! I'm always asked where I get my banana plugs for so cheap.

I was just shopping around for banana plugs in Cardinal Audio in Virra Mall.
The shop didn't have any in stock but one of their clients heard me and then approached me and said he was giving up HT.
So he sold me his banana plugs for php50 each only the next day.

New upgrade.

Last year, my very good friend visited my theater. And I complained that my PJ was blurry and undefined.
He told me to wear his glasses and woah!!!!

Hindi pala blurry.

This allows me to appreciate my PJ much much more.
I cannot believe I put up with watching movies with blurred vision.

This is a great upgrade for me though not A/V related hehehe.

small update,

A little over a month ago, mike c gave me a good deal for his Auralex Mopads.
I've been hearing and reading about the improvements brought about by placing these pads under my speakers.

And guess what. It does indeed improve the sound of my speakers.
I never thought my previous setup was muddy until I placed the Mopds under the speakers.

Particularly the dialogue coming from the center speaker is now much more realistic and clear.

Music listening is now much more pleasant and airy, the bass punchier and the mids much more defined.

I highly recommend these babies, planning to get another pair for my bedroom.
