buying LED or LCD TV - 40K budget

guru's, need your expert opinion.
planning to buy 40" ~ 42" size LED or LCD TV this month end.
budget is 40K ( Samsung preferred pero OK din po Sony or LG )
usage / application: 90% watching local channel / HD movies and 10% gaming only
i hope to get the best out of the budget i have now...

as per your intended usage. better off with plasma ka.

try mo yung LG 42PW350 na plasma with 3d pa.

how about power consumption comparison ? vs LED or LCD

from what i read/learned here, plasmas are a bit reflective thus it might reflect lights from your windows. Plasma owners say plasma viewing is better in controlled environments.

LED is still the least power hungry AFAIK.

But with your budget of 40K, you can still afford a 40" LED

Check the prices of these models:

LG 42LV3500
Samsung UA37D5000
Samsung UA40D5000

those are LED-LCD TVs which I am guessing are below 40K price point right now.

see the new Toshiba Regza 40" PS10 in Anson' Makati, kaya ihaggle up to 43k LED Backlight consumes only 91W, it plays 27 video playback movies

newbie question po uli:
  > yun po bang 3D ready na LG pag wala yung Kit 2D po ang normal picture nya?
      then pag nabilhan ng kit  then can go 3D na ?

will it be better than ordinary LED say the samsung 40UA5000
