Lately, I have been in an uncontrollable state of searching for the best concert blurays, I have made a lot of research and bought a number of the recommendations. Here is my take on the best concert bluray.
Roy Orbison black & white Night Night: The visual presentation is in black and white and was edited in such a way that it would appear as though it was shot from an earlier time. I am not really sure but I believe that this kind of video presentation sort of amplified the audio clarity. They must have made the video less than good so that the viewers would expect (though subconsciously), that the audio is just as bad. But boy, upon hearing Roy Orbison sing a song from Elvis Priestley (?), my heart just stopped. It was so good, I promised myself that it would be the last concert I would watch before I die, until something better comes along.
I have heard other titles such as Andrea Bocceli Live in Tuscany, Hitman: David Foster & Friends, The Police Certifiable, Dave Mathews & Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City Music Hall, Time 25th year Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Kenny G to name a few.
Yes, all of them are good but this Roy Orbison thing really stood out. I am still waiting for some titles and I will post my observation later.
