Got this one last week to replace my luckless i-Xtreamer (damaged due to lighting). GUI of the Mede8er is decent. Lots of viewing options. Aesthetics is nice, so is the remote with backlight and learning function. Already tested the 3D and I'm impressed with the results.
Though there are still bugs that need to be fixed. Coming from an iXtreamer where my media files are stored, I had trouble browsing with the internal HD. It reboots while browsing the external HD. Since I can't reformat my 2TB HD and risk losing GB's of media, I had to place it in external drive enclosure as a workaround. Then I reformatted my 2nd HD (500GB Samsung) and used it as internal disk, however, there are times where it doesn't show up in the media library.
I would have bought the Xtreamer Prodigy if it only had a provision for a 3.5" internal HD. I needlessly purchased an external HD enclosure; An added cost.
In hindsight, I should have opted for the more familiar NMT which is the Xtreamer Prodigy and purchased 2 external enclosures.
There's also no online firmware update; you have to do it manually.
The 300X3D isn't a bad NMT. Future updates should easily solve the internal HD issue.
