Topic: Samsung PS51E450 RCA Cable Problem (HELP!)

hi guys!   First off, this is, I think, my first post and sorry for my ignorance but I have a question. 

When I connect my xenon home theater (5 speakers with subwoofer) via RCA cable, there is no sound from the speakers, just the TV speakers when watching cable channels or movies from USB/HDD.  I'm not sure if you have been encountered this, if I just need to do some configuration or firm upgrade.  By the way, when I used my philips DVD player, the sound is ok since the source is from the DVD player, right? 

Ok naman yung xenon nung connected siya sa lumang LCD TV namin (sharp LCD TV).

I think the PS51E450 has no RCA pre-out... yung RCA sa likod ng Plasma is input not output... ang isang option mo lang to have the audio out is the optical/toslink output.. other than that wala na akong alam sa model na ito para makapag audio out siya... yung sa philips mo kaya nag okey is siguro dahil either na naka HDMI ka.. or ang ginamit mo ay yung out ng DVD player papunta sa in ng 51E450.. this is one thing i hate with the recent E series.. lack of connectivity.. or it's just a settings mula sa xenon mo..

the only audio out of this tv is via optical, you should use an optical to rca audio converter, something like this:



or if your xenon has an optical-in, you can direct the optical-out of your tv to the optical-in of your home theater to achieve a 5.1 theater like audio if your movie file has a 5.1 encoded audio, just don't forget to set your tv spdif setting to dolby digital and not pcm
but if you will use the rca via this audio converter, you should set it to pcm, since this only has 2 channel rca, hence it can't transfer/pass-on a 5.1 audio.

you can also use the headphone out at the back of the TV for analog output...

this model has no headphone out at the back of the TV ...
