I've had the Panasonic 55 JZ1000 for 3 weeks now and here are my impressions.
This is my first OLED TV, I'm coming from a Samsung KS7000 (KS8000 US) which has served for 7 years now and is still going strong.
In fact I wouldn't have upgraded if it were not for the sale.

- Picture quality is super, jaw dropping great and a definite step up over my previous set.
- A lot of it has to do with the black levels, that deep inky blacks that OLEDs are known for.
- HDR material greatly benefits from the true black, especially in dark scenes
- Colors out of the box is very natural to my eyes, I watch in Filmmaker mode and had to only do very minor tweaking.
- Menus are organized fairly well and is easy to navigate and best of all responsive.
- 4k 120hz on HDMI port 1 and 2 for the Xbox Series X and Ps5

Gripes, after 3 weeks of course I found some gripes.

(1st Gripe) This shouldn't be a problem for most people, because I'm probably the only person who has this issue in other forums.

- Sound Output settings doesn't work as well as I would like.
My TV is hooked up to a Denon 2809 AVR and also an Astro A50 wireless headset for when the wife and kid is asleep.
Here's how it's setup because unfortunately the Denon 2809 doesn't supprot ARC/eARC.
TV Optical Out -> Astro A50 Optical In -> Astro A50 Optical Out -> Denon 2809 Optical In

The issue is on the Sound Output menu of the Pana TV, I only get 2 options, TV and Home Theater.
When selecting Home Theater the TV is left to decide if the sound should output via HDMI or Optical.
And sometimes, audio just cuts out in the headset when selecting Home Theater.

This wasn't an issue with my Samsung KS7000 because I could select TV, Optical or HDMI.
I did find that audio still comes out of the TV optical out when leaving the Sound Output setting to TV (So I would just have to bring the TV volume down to 0 when using the wireless headset)

(2nd Gripe) again, probably not an issue for most people

4k 120hz mode for gaming disables the HDR Tonemap setting so I'm unable to turn off Tone Mapping when outputting 120hz (turning off Tone Mapping emulates LG's HGiG mode)

*Tone mapping is recommended for watching 4k HDR movies but for gaming more often than not it is better to have it off.

(3rd Gripe) also not an issue for most people.
Dolby Vision gaming supports only up to 60hz

2nd and 3rd Gripe I've read is a limitation of the MediaTek SOC so it isn't unique to the Panasonic, other Manufacturers as well have this issue.

(4th Gripe)

No Disney+

(5th Gripe)

Maybe it's just me but to my eyes the picture is a tad too sharp, even with 0 sharpness

(6th Gripe)

I still have DVD's laying around the house and the Samsung KS7000 handled SD upscaling better than this Panasonic OLED.
Maybe because of the aforementioned 5th Gripe, it may be a tad too sharp.

Wow that is great for your Sammy KS7000, mine conked out after 5++ years.

How much did you got the OLED? Agree, I thought the KS7000 already has great pq, but the OLED is on another level.

Samsung S95D's are also now available as well but no Cash N Carry prices yet. No confirmation as of yet if Samsung PH will be sticking to their 1 year warranty policy for the 2024 QD OLEDs

I have the 77 S95 C which I bought last may 2023 , I bought it because of the value proposition of having a top of the line Oled tv for the price of less than a mid range Oled from other brands . But due to schedule and other issues I was only able to really start using it just the week . past its one year warranty and just keeping my fingers crossed . But its a treat watching the Olympics from my 8 ft viewing distance , and the free soundbar that came with it is a good complement . I started using it with the magnifi mini but the polk did not do it justice .

Out of the box picture quality is not as good as the LG and Sony , but with a little tweak and the self calibrating mode , its really a nice picture .

My old Sony A1E oled started acting up and keep resetting and giving me the 8 red led flash. Does anyone have any technician to recommend to fix this particular issue , i called sony service and i was told immediately due to the age of my Sony , they might not have parts for it anymore. I guess they only do board swaps and no component level servicing .

It's a 2021 model but still a very good OLED. ₱52,500 is a pretty good price for a 65" OLED.

Probably because of inflation. Halos lahat nagtaas na kahit dapat mas nagmura na dahil mas hinog na technology.

madaming ganyan setup. Just have them deliver the item to your house and then pay COD. You can test naman the TV at your place.

Have not logged in to PDVD for a longggg time.

Anyway, saw C3 sa Megamall but display unit.

Was looking at Bravia 8 pero at 130k++ mataas peice for me. Also looked at the LG 65” C4 at 98k++ I chose LG G4 65” instead. Bought one from ansons estancia for 119k, free wall mounting service from LG service center. This replaced my 5yr old LG 65” SK8500.

So far so good. This is my first OLED, had panasonic plasma in the past, LED, etc., really love the deep blacks ng OLED :)

Tried to order from fb marketplace ng Panasonic 65JZ1000S @52.5k. Defective ang dala, may mga cluster of blackspots na randomly on and off habang nag pplay ng color test sa yt. Next day tumawag si seller normal lang daw sabi ni supplier kasi hindi daw consistent ang problem. Hindi ko nalang kinuha 💔

Hello. Meron akong mag-3 years na LG C1. Nagkaron na sya ng burn-in ng TV Patrol logo and the sign language interpreter sa box. Wala ng remedy yun no? I just have to live with it.
