After watching the first 2 episodes, it shows how much the Breaking Bad crew (Vince Gilligan and company) have grown in terms of skills and experience. Honestly, I found the initial episodes of Breaking Bad kinda boring and it was only when the 2 cousins showed up that I was hooked. This one had me from the Cinabon scene. i'm wondering if that's product placement and if they would benefit from it.

Having familiar characters show up also helps.

When they announced that they will have a spin-off of Breaking Bad after it concluded, and Saul would be the main character, I was thinking that there's no way it would be a good one ... I cannot think of anything that would make it interesting ... 3 episodes later, I'm already hooked ... this seems to be another hit, and I can't wait for Heisenberg coming into the picture, because at this timeline, he is still alive

We will not see Walt for a very long time. But Jimmy/Saul has the potential to go past the Walter White timeline because as we know, he survived the chaos. If the show is successful enough, we might see the reintroduction of Jessie Pinkman and his crew. Sweet.

yup, it's gonna be quite some time before we see the Whites, because Better Call Saul takes place 6 years before the events of Breaking Bad...unless they do flashforwards; cameos might be possible though, but Vince Gilligan isn't saying.

Jimmy's character gave the writers the creative license to use the same Breaking Bad formula. Exciting as it was, I am not sure that we would have been as patient if we hadn't seen Breaking Bad. That said though, I am enjoying this show.

Ya, this one is riding hard on the coat tails of BB. But in Vince Gilligan we trust so I have high hopes.

Curious as to what exactly is Saul's brother's sickness...why is his house devoid of electricity, with no gadgets, and his constant need for that space blanket? Is his sickness an actual medical condition or is he just eccentric bordering on crazy?
