My RXV-450 died.  It would probably cost P2,000 to get it fixed.  I bought this more than 8 years ago.  Is it worth repairing or should I get a new one?  I haven't been up to date on home theater gadgets.  I do know the 6.1 setup is obsolete.

It is cheaper to get it fixed, but is this AV good enough and up-to-date enough to do the job for the next 3 years?

As is sa system mo, baka it's good enough. But if you are planning on future upgrades like adding/replacing speakers, probably multi-source/monitor, HD audio etc, then it's time for you to upgrade.
