Foobar 2000 DSD question
« on: Jul 20, 2015 at 03:47 PM »
Hello,

I have foobar 2000 playing dsd/dff files using my m8 dac.

I noticed that when playing dsd128 (.dsf), it plays (dac displaying dsd128) however the sound is not as loud when playing say a flac file. (Volume unchanged)

Is this a problem in the dsd file itself, or something with the processing of foobar?

*Also, sometimes, the dac is not displaying "DSD64/DSD128" but when it plays, the loudness is the same level as when a flac file is playing. Is this the pcm conversion? I am new to this so I am not sure.

Kindly share if you have experienced the same.

Thanks!
