Price is now slightly lower than the launch SRP. I wonder if this can possibly go below 150k next year.

Right now, TCL stands alone in the 98" size range in the Philippines (there is a lower variant available too which also comes in 98" but does NOT have FALD).  The Cash N Carry FB Marketplace prices for 98" TVs for TCL are currently ₱117,000 for the C655 and ₱175,000 for the C755 (full array local dimming).

In terms of current price ranges (as of July 2024), the 83" LG C4 OLED is about ₱75k more expensive than this 98" TCL.  In a large room, I would pick the TCL just because size does matter and it is cheaper too.  For not-so-huge dedicated HT rooms, the 83" OLED might probably be a better option, just because it will have slightly better color accuracy, much deeper blacks and nicer skin tones.

However, those in the market for a 100" projector will probably be better served by a brighter 98" FALD TV instead.  I don't think there is a projector right now which can match a QD-MiniLED panel in terms of PQ.  But do note that TV's in the Philippines don't go above 115" yet.
