Topic: Upgrade from LED86+ projector

WARNING: Projector newbie

Any recommendation for an upgrade from LED86+ projector, 780p,  3000 Lumens LED Projector,

So I definitely I need to go to 1080p or higher if budget permits.

Does it matter if it is DLP or LED ?  Will DLP and LED have the same quality if both have the same lumens and resolution ? 

Will I get a big improvement, if I stay with LED but with a 1090p resolution and a higher lumen rating ?

LED/ Bulb/ Laser is the light source

try to go for DLP @ 700+ ANSI Lumens up
