Everything was on display today from Wemby. The handles, the jumphot, the three pointers, blocks and rebounding.

Imagine if two to three years down the line he develops a body like Giannis.

JHS and Swider are both already in the roster. Hopefully they offer a two way to Castleton. Plays like a young Zubac but with better range and passing to his arsenal. Max Christie is killing it every game. Sadly he plays behind Austin Reaves, D'Lo and soon Gabe Vincent so he might not get the exposure he needs for his game to be featured.

Colin Castleton was signed to a two-way contract by the Lakers last week, along with D'Moi Hodge. That already accounts for the max two-way player slots allowed to the team. IMO Castleton has very good big man skills and has a chance of having his contract converted to a regular one during the season based on how well he's been playing (in the summer league games at least) and the Lakers' need for a big man. To date, the Lakers have 13 players signed for next season.

I'm also impressed by their second round pick, Maxwell Lewis. 3-and-D type. But he's also a long shot to crack the rotation, given who's playing ahead of him in their depth chart.

I watched the summer league highlights and was thinking what position will wemby play? It seems he is not fast enough to play at 3. But if 4 or 5, then he may need to bulk up.

Hodge looks to be a dead eye shooter. Ganda ng stroke from long distance. Maliit lang sya so defensive liability yan.

Castleton might turn out to be quite a steal. Not gonna a star in the NBA but can contribute solidly when given minutes. Hindi magkakalat when he is on the court so to speak.

akin lang ha...we have a far better chance to develop a Guard to enter the NBA rather than a Forward or Center. Genetics kasi ng Pinoy is when you are tall eh bumabagal.

Alam mo you are right. And also, young pinoy basketball players should emulate Allan Caidic and not MJ, Lebron, Giannis or any of those biggies. They should pattern their plays kay Caidic, Steph and Klay. Isama na din si Atoy Co. Nawalan na tayo ng mga pure shooters sa PBA and Gilas. Pati basic and simpleng free throws di na din na sila maka shoot.

^^^ True...Let's face it..Asians are not blessed with the combination of strength, height and speed of African Americans.

Skill can be developed though. Shooting is a skill and so are handles. Being crafty with the ball as well.

Look at Steph...cant elevate that high, isn't the fastest as well. He sure as heck isn't tall. He though is the most feared player in the entire NBA because of his skill level. No player can bury your team in a 5 minute span like Steph when he gets hot. A close game will become a blowout whenever he gets hot.
