The extended release, for one, has no DTS. Audio wise, there's no point comparing I guess... and as Ridley himself said at the start of the movie, he does not consider the extended edition a director's cut because what we already saw in theaters is, as he said, is already the director's cut...

Yup, Sir Ridley Scott prefers the theatrical cut of GLADIATOR. How about the video transfer dude?

I hardly noticed any difference. Both the theatrical and extended versions on disc 1 looks amazing for me...

I'll compare it once I got my Extended R1 edition.

Fat Girl, Criterion Coll. - an uncompromising film about sibling rivalry & female adolescent sexuality w/ an unsettling finale done thru a freeze-frame akin to Truffaut's The 400 Blows.....both the video transfer & dts audio track of this release are excellent, & it's loaded w/ the usual interesting bonus features common in criterion releases...... 8)

M, 2-Disc Criterion Coll. - one of the very best suspense/thrillers that i've watched so far, IMHO this could easily qualify as among the top 10 greatest films of all time, this masterpiece by fritz lang was made in 1931 & yet it's very contemporary even by today's standards......this newly HD remastered criterion release has an incredibly prestine video transfer & has an abundant bonus materials on disc 2, this is truly a premium DVD collector's item..... 8)

highly recommended!!!!!

Au Hasard Balthazar, Criterion Coll. - i need to watch this again, i just didn't get it why some are calling this a masterpiece of Robert Bresson (di ko ma-G at medyo malalim, hehehe ;D ;D ;D ;D)......the PQ is excellent though, & the extras are great as usual for a criterion release....... 8)

One Million Years B.C. (r1) - the special FX are a bit dated & at times look amusing but NOT downright awful or stupid, the good side of it is you get to see Raquel Welch in a role (or attire ;D) that catapulted her to international stardom.....sulit na rin to coz i bought it for Php200.00 only 8)

Stephen King's Rose Red - didn't know this was a miniseries... thought it was just a made for TV movie kaya watched it with my wife for over 5 hours straight. the first 2 hours were a bit dragging but once it got going, it never slowed down. Creepy as hell... not really very scary but the suspense will kill you  ;D

Disney's Jungle Book 1 & 2

DIE HARD SE, make sure you check the deleted scenes, some of which were incorporated in a version found on the bonus section of disc 1 (a few minutes only, a scene is in black & white)
