LOL, tawa ako ng tawa nung nabasa ko to . Anyway, di mo mapapakinabangan sa panaginip ang kahit anong setup. Di mo ba pansin, pag nasa panaginip ka di pang  audiophile ang sound effects?  Lagi parang filtered lahat ng noise tapos parang center speaker lang gumagana? 

Anyway,kung panaginip ang usapan, I believe the good thing about my setup is that it is attainable. I honestly believe that part of the setup's "appeal" is that its a reachable setup for our fellow members.  My setup doesnt cost a fortune, it consists of many entry level gear (2nd hand pa!) and DIY elements that can be done with a little patience, passion, creativity, time and budgeting. It can be done, you just have to believe...in yourself.

Ay sorry po sir Matz, mali kayo. Pag nananaginip ako, lumalabas yung panaginip ko sa screen tapos may speakers naka 5.1 ang setup. Dun ko napapanood ang panaginip ko. Kaso screen ko 21 inches na CRT lang at Euros 8 setup at HK 135.  Kaya gusto ko mahingi sa panaginip setup nyo baka sakali mag iba mga dreams ko pag nananaginip , baka mas maging closer to reality hehe

Kidding aside, yeah i agree kayang kaya ng ibang mga fellow pdvd'ers yang setup nyo. Pero ako po di ko kaya hehehe

You are welcome bro, ur welcome here anytime. Swerte lang nag match yung HK630 plus Rotel bi-amped with the M34 kaya gumanda yung sound system. I experimented all sorts of bi amp combo (rotel on HF, HK on LF, vice versa and all rotel bi amp) and ito talaga yung winner.

Kahit sa kabilang ibayo na ako, hilig ko pa rin ang HT, I cant give up any of the 2. I love both and I wana enjoy both.

Here it is, the MAtZTER bedroom setup and cheap begginer's tube audio setup.



Video setup:
TV:Hitachi 32PD380 LCD TV, excellent PQ and very rich colors
DVD player: Pioneer DV-233 (mwahaha! dinosaur  )
Racks: Sabre Crescendus (remnants from main HT room  )
Mount: Sabre LCD/plasma wall mount
AVR: Omni 1000w servo type AVR
Cable: Baron Cable (Baron Antena  )
Divx: portable HDD player w/ 20gig laptop hard disk, w/ remote
-w/ VGA or AV (Y,R,W) plug to TV and plays DIVX on your TV


PQ sample. My hands are still shaky, so better pa rin yung actual image as seen by the naked eye.
We only use this setup for DVD featurettes, mini series,  P**ted DVDs and some concerts w/c is only 10% of the time.
Mostly its our 1 yr old son who watches barney and other educational DVDs here, 90% of the time .

CHEAPO Begginner tube audio setup:
Speakers: Mission M72
Stand: Sabre Praetor 60cm.
Pre amp: JD Lab tube pre amp w/ passive function, so I can use the power amps for DVD watching while tube pre amp is OFF.
-w/ auricaps, Sylvania 12au7 tubes, Sun audio circuit
Amp: dual Sonic Impact T-amp for bi-amping, with custom case (and dual PSU) made by master JojoD
Wires:   Ecosse 2.3 and leftover Ixos 6006 11awg from main HT
IC's: IXOS 103
CDP: Sony
Others: Quantum Banana Plugs, 3M dome sticker for speaker to stand "merging"


Identical casing, so the pre amp and amp can be put on top of each other.
T-amp casing w/ 1 light= 1 T-amp active, 2 lights=2 T-amps active (for bi-amping)

Tubes encased for child-friendliness. Blue lights for efex 

This setup is great for watching concert DVDs in DTS!

Thanks bro. Actually, due to space constraints, we had no choice but to go for the flat panel. Sikip kasi dito sa condo, buti pa kayo, you have space.

And LOL, like I mentioned above, we dont really use this TV much at all, most of the time sa main HT kami.

LOL, buti pa nga generic player may progressive scan, yung Pioneer 233 namin wala   . But it was expensive when we bought it before and we couldnt think of selling it cheap so we opted to just use it for our son. I also won a generic player sa raffle last Xmas but gave it to my son's ninong (my wife's brother). Ulterior motive: baka di ako payagan mag upgrade ni missis kasi "may bagong player naman eh" 

Yep, the tube sounds great, but I still need to fix some acoustics sa room, the bass reverb is ugly at times  .

I have a lot of audiophile titles and HDCD's, but no DVDa. But my upcoming DVD player will be SACD capable, so I might start having SACDs. Regalo ni missis yung upcoming DVD player  for my bday last week  (and papabili ko pa sa HK sa best friend ko) .

Allow me to mention the specs of the player, for other readers who might want to get one (from Hong Kong):
