what is the best projector available for the price range of 30,40,50 k. need suggestions. ung puwede po card ang gamitin. thanx for your advises.

No bnew at 30K.

For 40K get the Benq W100 (like Sir Devo's) best for HT. DLP proj with 4x color wheel speed para iwas Rainbow effect. Get the models made post-July since these are already HDCP ready.

For 50K get the Epson EMP S4. Cheap bulb, outstanding under-rated lumen output, LCD proj (no rainbows) dunno about the SDE, outstanding serviceability, great color reproduction. Best used for multimedia presentations. You can even use the remote for mousing.

what is the difference with the mainstream projector and home entertainment projector?

w100 1300 ansi lumens and 2200:1 contrast 854 x 480 16:9

or an

mp620p 2200 ansi lumens and 2000:1 contrast 1024x768 4:3

what do you think is better? both are benq.

Depends on your intended use. MP620 is primarily a data/multimedia projector while W100 is primarily an HT projector.

If your intended use is just HT, go with the W100: it's 4x color wheel will minimize rainbow effects while watching movies, has DVI input and 2 sets of component video inputs, plus it's cheaper. But if it's an all-around projector you want, i.e., mostly presentations, spreadsheets plus movies once in a while, then the MP620 is a better option. If you will project mostly powerpoint presentations with large text and not for word and excel docs with small text/numbers (14pts below), you can opt for the SVGA (800x600) MP610.

MP620 is available at Electroworld outlets but its main distributor is Astech Pengson. W100 is available at AVLS (All Visual & Lghts Systems).

got the benq w100. buti na lang meron ako 1 room for ht. wow factor was awesome. sakto dumating relatives namin last weekend. sbi ng mga pamangkin ko may sine daw sa taas hehe. unfortunately i cant compare it with other projector pero para sa kin da best na yun nakuha ko. using it with my dvds saka xbox360. thanks sa advice

Go for HT PJ's. They were made for accurate color representation for movies. Multimedia PJ's are made for uses with ambient lighting , therefor brighter & not as accurate for movies. Also, they might be too bright & fatiguing to your eyes for a whole movie session. One thing I also notice with Multimedia PJ's are the screen door effect is more obvious.

I notice they drop by mid year for the 90+k HT PJ's. But for the 50+k PJ, the drop isnt significant, so its better if you get one soon & dont wait.

yeah saw this one.....its one of the cheapest HD PJs out there...yung price nya nasa 480p PJ levels......but at 720P native resolution..its a steal.

Bro, ilang watts yung lamp ng Benq W100? Do you have any idea how much is the price of 200watts lamp. Mine is Benq 2250 which uses 200 watts lamp. The life of the lamp is from 2000 to 3000 hrs. When its time to change I would have an idea how much I'm going to spend for the lamp. Any comment from our members will be greatly appreciated.

Mga sir, meron ako promo sa Benq w100.. dlp home theatre projector. exclusive po sa amin yan. kaya lang wala pa ako stock incoming pa lang next week. this on is for home theatre projector only. meron ako stock epson tw-10 lcd projector @ 38k. may vga input. if you are interested sa unit na puede gamitan ng vga cable. meron din ako incoming next week viewsonic pj402d and meron ako on-stock optoma 706p. im sure pasok itong mga e2 sa budget nyo kung budget conscious kau. kung gus2 nyo naman ng mga HD 720p meron din ako nyan. epson Tw-600 and ung promo ko ngayon para sa 720p BenQ PE-7700 @ 90k.

what pj is better than the w100 but cheaper than the ax100..? or maybe what are the projectors that can be placed between the benq w100 and the Ax100 in terms of pq and price..

i have noticed lately the choices of members that if not the AX100 they go to the W100..

There are some other 720p PJ out there but ,you just can't beat the AX100 with its light output and flexibility of placement. Mura nga dito sa Pinas around 1500 dollars lang.
