sir, the pics i posted are taken on daytime with window blinds closed. meron pa rin light leakage sa bintana but i guess brightness of projector compensates for it. an open window on day time viewing is not adviseable coz details are lost and black or dark image becomes light gray.
will try to post pic how it looks at the back where the window is located.
thanks a lot bro rmpmla.
Bait kausap ng mga taga AVCP. I actually have scheduled an onsite demo tom am at home. This is to settle once and for all reg the issue of how this pj works on a room on daylight conditions. I actually requested for them to come before lunch time para maliwanag talaga. Excited na ko! I'll try to take some shots.  ;)
pwede pala ihome demo kahit hindi mo pa bibilhin? will they bring pj screen too? sayang, wala kasi pj store sa angeles city, please inform us after the demo sir.

Very Shaggydellic Baby.   :)

BAYAN! Eto na result ng demo today. AVCP's kind people namely Joel and Aileen came in around 3:00 pm today so you have an idea how bright the daylight is. Kumpleto gamit nila from a screen with a tripod and a dvd player. Setup was IN I could say as the worse scenario meaning:
a.) All windows and door on our sala was open
b.) dvd player used was only 480p native
c.) only component cable was used (no hdmi)
d.) video setting was only set to normal

Well the rest is up for you to judge.

Bayan. Daytime viewing pa lang yan. What more during the evenings.

My personal rating on AX100 between 1 to 10? = 11

Naku, sumobra ng isa.  Kumbaga sa larong beinte-uno sa basketball, basted, back to 1.  ;D ;D ;D

Seriously, I agree with you.  As I mentioned in the starting post, the AX-100E is a fantastic PJ, specially for its price.  I'm also happy that AVCP has not disappointed any of you. :)

Enjoy, folks!  ;)

I have overcomed my worst fear when they made the demo at home. IMHO, GO FOR IT! I assure you sulit yan kahit di mo na pa demo.  :)

hi sechiong,

i post the problems i encountered on page 1 of this thread. i got replacement from AVCP after it was inspected by their technician. The replacement i got is much better than the first one. but when i read the post on AVS forum, the first unit i got maybe considered OK/acceptable to some AVS forumers ;D

ive read avsforum threads too and it seems after some hours of using this unit, discoloration and other problems come out which some say are due to the heat generated by the unit and some because of other concerns. Kala ko pa naman super ok na etong unit na eto. how long ba warranty neto? also has anyone who bought this also experienced what people in avsforum experienced? what are the 2 top competitor ng AX100?

how long ba warranty neto?

just delivered yesterday by AVCP. with  two year warranty on parts and labor. 6 months warranty on lamp.
installed today using DIYed ceiling mount.

cheers  :)

also has anyone who bought this also experienced what people in avsforum experienced?

Tested last night the Ax-100 using my HTPC and one thing i immediately noticed is the ghosting on the desktop screen but not on the projector's on-screen menu. on the left edge of the screen eh putol yung mga desktop icons. i used the auto-set up of the AX-100 so that the screen will be centered but to no avail. i had to do adjustments on the advance timing of the video card to center the desktop image.

The next test i did was the dead pixel tester, no dead pixel was seen but i discovered a more serious problem IMO. when using  using white background display, i noticed a light shade of green on top and left edge of the screen about 2 inches in width. while at the bottom right is a light shade of magenta. you will only see this problem if you set the projector to "cinema 1 or 2". you won't see this in  "normal" setting.
i contacted the seller and has promptly schedule their technician to check the unit tomorrow :(

tested lats night the AX-100 just to re-confirm the problems encountered. have not found the Overscan menu sa projector but the desktop screen was centered using POWER STRIP. also, was able to sharpen the text display on the desktop screen with the same program.

the green shade and magenta shade problems are still there when viewed on white color background.

kaysa maiinis ako dun sa defect, i use the projector and enjoyed watching Xmen DVD on HTPC using winDVD7 with trimension "on" - ganda ;D

just this morning, the seller, AVCP, told me that they will replace the unit on Monday. ;D

I can't believe my eyes when I tested it with my p****ted dvds.  :o :o Settings btw is default picture and normal. Galing ng Ax100 and Pioneer 696 combo on hdmi!!

Hi guys,

have been monitoring this thread for quite some time now and am truely amazed on the perfermance of this projection based on the pictures posted. Now I am confuse on what to get.

My initial plan was to buy a 50 inch RPTV (those DLP type or SXRD) since my room is small, the thiought of buying a front projector did not occur to me. But after reading all your post I am having seconds thoughts. Can you guys help me and enumerate the pro and cons of having a RPTV and a front projector?

Any help will do, Thanks.

A projector becomes a good choice when you can project images larger than the sizes of what the RPTV/LCD displays normally come in (for example, 84 inches diagonal).  Of course, the recommended image size is a function of your room dimensions.  To put it simply, if your viewing distance does not necessitate more than 72 inches (diagonal) of display, then an RPTV/LCD might make more sense, specially if you're not bothered by the artifacts of these type of displays (usually more pronounced in LCD's).

By the way, the recommended height of your viewing image is 1/3 of your viewing distance.

'Hope this helps.  :)

It is the closest thing to a movie experience therefore you need a room with little or no ambient light at all. Its the only WAY if you want a screen bigger than 80 inches.(except if you have an unlimited budget)
