sir matz I'm sure I've seen a pre-pro dun sa store but did not bother to ask about the price.  Mamya when i return to the store to get the GST refund form ask ko.

generally sa store na yun, mura talaga ang power amp compared sa atin.  mga around 45% cheaper than philippine prices.  pero sa integrated and CDPs medyo di ganun kalaki ang difference but we're talking of around 5K to 10K less so mura pa rin.

Actually may mga store pa daw na mas mura but have not checked it out like sa Sim Lim square kasi based sa nabasa ko dito bad reputation yung place na yun.

But a relative here is accompanying me later today to Sim Lim so i might check out prices there as well

Kung mura lang pre/pro dyan suggest ko bro mag RSP1068 + RB1075 ka na lang then sell your HK. All in one HT & Audio setup na!

You wont need to buy the RA 1070 cuz the pre/pro is also excellent enough in music as it is in HT.

Yun nga lang, ang laki na ng package, kelangan mo na ipa ship yan.  :D

well the idea crossed my mind actually, the thought of going separates was really enticing especially because of the low prices pero I at this time I dont really have a need to upgrade my HT setup.  unang-una wala akong dedicated HT room like yours  ;D tsaka ok na ko sa HT ko in my small apartment.

Anyway, i will be back here in singapore for next year's conference so baka that time pwede na upgrade kung may funds   ;D

I'm already happy with my amp purchase.  WOuld be happier sana if I could get the CDP and pre-amp pero yun nga di ko na kaya bitbitin.  Magpapabili na lang ako kung uwi relative ko hehehe ;D

bro sanmig I also asked about the RMB 1075 its just a little over S$1,000 so just a little over 32K pesos!  that's a steal coz there around 58K pesos ang discounted price

for the benefit of everyone here's the prices i got from the store i bought my gear.  Di ko pa natanong sa ibang store kasi excited agad ako na bumili so hindi na ko nagtanong sa ibang store dahil sobrang mura kaya i grabbed the gear right away.

RMB 1075 ~ S$1,000
RCD-1072 = S$838
RCD 06 = S$586
RA 1062 = S$ 960
RA 1070 = S$1,465

the store will offer discounts pa on the prices above and these prices are inclusive of 5% GST

mamya tanong ko about other items

thanks pare, its time to save para makabili 1075.
problem na lang kanino makakapagpabili :-\

pareng sanmig i heard there's a very economical way to visit Singapore.  Meron daw Tiger Airlines with very affordable rates.  Sabi ng relative ko one time umuwi sia sa Pinas there were five of them, he only paid an equivalent of 30k pesos for all of them back and forth!  Unbelievable!  That translates to only around 3K each for the airfare.

Kung ganun with the discounts that anyone will get buying amps here kahit pa bayad ka ng airfare eh ang laki pa rin mase-save.  Ang problema lang baka malaki tax pagdating dyan sa atin.

Yan nga problema ko baka singilin ako ng customs pagdating ko sa airport.

Any tips??? anyone??

Door to door delivery via sea freight. Look up Celine Air Express, they do some door to door deliveries for me before fom HongKong. They have a Singapore office. Their charge is all-in, tax included.

How heavy is the box?

sir matz, the amp is 12kg so i guess with packaging its under 13kg gross weight.

how long does it take for sea freight to deliver?  Was considering air cargo but then aside from paying for the shipping I still need to pay for the customs duties.

Balak ko ilagay na lang sa malaking trolley bag yung amp tapos check in baggage ko sya para hindi takaw mata sa customs.  ok kaya ganito?

If you could ask the store to give you an extra receipt with an under valued price so phil customs wont charge you that much. Problem is if store gives you under valued receipt your GST refund that you can claim at their airport will be based on that amount.Just hope nobody at the customs knows the rotel brand para hindi ka nila icharge ng malaki ;)

m just hoping di nila makita yung amp.  ilalagay ko na lang sa malaking trolley bag as check-in baggage.  There's no way na maging hang-carry luggage kasi malaki.  M just hoping di masira in transit.

delivery takes about 3weeks....if you are in singapore you can go to lucky plaza, there are many pinoy cargo handlers there, last time i was there cost was about a 100 sing dollar for a 4cu. feet container...no limit on weight just the size of the shipping box, as long as your goods can fit in....i used to ship items to manila that way when i was working in singapore, circa 2000.

thanks bros, I was seriously thinking of just shipping the amp for fear of customs charging me exorbitant dues.

good thing i was able to bring in the amp without a cent paid.  i just placed it in my check-in baggage.

for those intending to ship via sea freight I think is a good option.  wla na bang tax/dues kapag sea freight?  pag air cargo ata meron pang tax na babayaran upon claiming the goods.

hi sir bhongskie,

it's nice to hear na settled ka na with the evo 30 with the powerful rotel amp. kaya lang why sell your 9.5? baka kulangin ka na naman speakers niyan with your intention of getting a dedicated cdp and accompanying pre-amp. separate audio setup din binagsakan  :) :)

nothing sounds like a well synergized, dedicated, separate 2-ch audio set up. cdp, stereo pre, power amp (preferably monos), pair of speakers...

sir eventually I will separate talaga yung audio setup.  The 9.5s has to go coz I'm eyeing good bookshelves na lang tsaka masikip na kapag 2 floorstanders.  Lately I have been enjoying vocals and jazz music (bought recently best audiophile voices that's why  :D) kaya i'm leaning more on buying bookshelves talaga.

for now the evo30 serves both the HT and audio requirements.
