Latest Gen. of Generic DVD players with free 500+ songs
« on: Apr 03, 2007 at 05:46 PM »
Hi! I'm about to buy a generic dvd player mostly for karaoke use lang (I can't afford the hyundai's and platinum's pa eh!). I just want to ask advice, which of the latest crop in the range of 1.5T is worth buying? I prefer sana yung may free cd with 500+ songs na. Also, okay din b sound nitong mga free song disc included in the unit? Is it comparable sa kasama sa higher end karaoke players like platinum and Hyundai?

Tnx.

Magkaiba ang DVD player na tinitignan mo compare to Hyundai and Platinum. You're looking at a Mp4 compatible DVD player, while Hyundai and Platinum are Midi players as far as karaoke function is concern.
There's something to learn everyday

Yes, that's right they are totaly different but as I've said I can't afford the hyundai that's why I'm just settling for this MP4  dvd players to play MP4 karaoke songs. I'm just asking if there's a big difference in sound quality between the midi format and the MP4 format and what generic dvd brand that's MP4 capable is best. Tnx

Orange dvd-22, yun maliit, 1.5k.
Then Maxell with nes games, 1.6k.

Hi,

if you can afford I would recomment the generic midi karaoke player: karavision DMD 7000; 5000 peso incl. disk with 6000+ songs, songbook and 2 microphones.
Has more or less the same functions as the platinum, score ect.

Maganda yung Orange.

I purchased a separate disc (from the same store) with 2,200 mp4 videoke songs on DVD-9, may Pinoy songs pa, P300 lang, nasa easy-to-read booklet pa ang song list.

Still not as good as the MIDI videokes, pero OK pa rin dahil sobrang layo ng presyo.

Hi,

if you have 2000+ song on a DVD = 2000 x 3 minutes of mpg4 = 6000 minutes =100 hours. The quality of the video must be lousy due to the verry high compression.
The midi karaoke disks have midi files and video seperate, much better video quality.
The big advantage of midi karaoke is the easy way to select the songs from a songbook. The DMD 6000 from karavision has number buttons for song selection or you use the remote.

meron bang disk na for karaoke talaga? or it will defend on player?

Ewan ko lang sa mga 1,500 song MP4 discs kung pareho lang ng 2,200 song MP4 disc ko.  Baka yung ibang songs MTV lang, not videoke, pero most songs videoke tracks talaga, puwede ma off ang vocals kung may L/R (left/right) button sa remote.

The Hyundai player is the most popular kasi pinakamadalas daw mag update ng songs.  Ang problema lang, mahal.  Around 4 times more expensive.
