I saw this Xenon DVD player from Ansons and was curious about the extra features like USB, USB Copy (you can copy audio disks to USB flashdisk), memory card reader & karaoke function w/free wireless microphone. I've asked the Anson Salesrep for a demo of the unit using the USB slot, which is one of the features I'm looking for (good thing I brought with me my flash drive with several downloaded Divx tv series & movies) and the player flawlessly played the divx/avi files although it cannot recognized long filenames.
I'm planning to buy this model instead of the Philips 5166k which is basically within the same price range as the Xenon (@2.8k, Philips @3k) but with lesser features. My only concern was the negative issues I've read here regarding Xenon's previous model, DVD-840. Should I buy this model with lots of extra features or go with a trusted branded player?
