got our pv80 today! yey! glad i came across this forum kanina. was suppose to buy an LG pc5rv yest until i decided to do some research. incidentally the nemesis and the sir jeff pala of theater works are one and the same

walang available na pv8 till he lured me to get a pv80 instead and we've never been happier. it could have been the greatest 7th bithday gift (which we delayed for two years) my boy could have received if the dad and everybody else in the house does'nt have vested interest in it.hahaha!

surely it's gonna be popcorn night everyday for us.many thanks sir jeff! a lot of thanks too for entertaining all my kulit txts

cant seem to find the post about the LE8 showing grainyness on some movies especially the movie 300 but I checked it earlier.Using my Panasonic upscaling dvd player its actually weird.

Played a p* Sweeney Todd using 1080i medyo may pixelation na nakikita so I was able to correct it by setting it only on 480i,so i remembered the post about 300 then tried inserting the disc and the grainyness was not visible na rin using 480i only

minsan ganun talaga bro .. may mga movies na mas maganda ma-upscale ng builtin scaler ng tv compared sa dvd upscaler .. minsan naman baliktad ..

some questions lang

a) For those using popcorn hour and the like as well as a BD player, would you say na malaki pa din ang PQ ng BD player as against the popcorn hour on a 42PV80 (1MegaPixel) or a (2MegaPixel) Plasma TV?
b) Does this hold true kung LCD yung screen?
c) Malayo ba yung pic quality ng Pioneer 410/610 player as against the popcorn hour on a panasonic 42v80?
d) For those fortunate guys who have both a BD player and a popcorn hour or the like, baka pwede kayong mag post ng screenshots =)

Im thinking kasi if its a worthwhile investment to get a panasonic hour or the like on my soon 42pv80 (which i will get in a couple of months). I saw kasi yung BD player playing spiderman3 on a samsung 42" na series6 Full HD. Grabe yung ganda. How close will i get if i play HD movies on a popcorn hour on a 42pv80? Malaking diff kaya if 2Megapixel yung TV?

a) how many years ang warranty ng grey?
b) how many years ang warranty ng unit from pana phil?
c) how can you determine if the unit is grey or not?
d) how much is the price difference? they say its like P1T-P2T only?

3k diff ng grey and pana phil.1 year also for grey units, sa pana phl meron lang 2 years sa panel.

ah ic so both grey and pana phil gets 1 year warranty but the pana phil TVs gets an additional 2 years warranty on its panels.

thanks for the clarification. By the way, how do we determine if the TV we are purchasing is a grey one or a pana phil? can we see it from the serial#? Or perhaps the warranty card?
