Pioneer VSX-918V-S
« on: Jul 02, 2008 at 10:11 PM »
Hi newbie here. I've been scouting around for an HDMI-capable receiver ( I don't even know if this is the proper term) for a home theater set up. I saw this Pioneer VSX 918V-S in trinoma. Is this any good for a bedroom home theater set up? Any better alternative for the same price range (20 to 30k)? Thanks in advance!

get a denon for 20-30k budget. the entry level denon with hdmi would cost around 19k.

Or another option would be to check out the buy and sell section for a good used amplifier, there is a onkyo 703 for sale for 27t you can probably huggle the price down pa, its also THX certified na.  :) Good luck.

Thanks for the replies! I got Onkyo SR606 but I'm not sure if it's really good since I don't know much about these things :)
