cant comment on how to improve on your pj since i dont have one myself. in any case there are a lot of our brothers out there who definitely will ( i can think of streetsmart) , good luck bro and definitely nice gears you have there! :D

Thanks bro. Fella green archer? Yup. As you can see, the skin tone (tho exaggerated by the camera as it looks better naman on actual) appears alien looking.  ;D

It's not a good idea to have more than one speaker for the center channel. In fact, some very respected acousticians believe that this produces some of the greatest problems for sound. In other words, it's advisable to stick to only one center speaker. If it has to be on the floor, you could try to tilt it upwards so the tweeter points at the level of your ears.

Good luck! :)

Yup. Been taking Sir streetsmart's advise.

Hehe. Temporary solution. That's actually the wall mounting bracket for the Bose cubes. I just bought a few of those adhesive round rubber things to prevent scratching the finish of the speaker. In a way, DIY yan.  ;D

The pq of your pj can be improved but I'm not sure how big an improvement we can get. The problem is that it's a data pj, not HT pj.

If you're interested, send me a PM and I can help calibrate the pj using a colorimeter, but no guarantees on how much improvement makuha.

I think Streetsmart answered the two questions: Have you found joy in your life? And have others found joy in you? (as quoted from The Bucket List) ;D Why pdvd is such a pool of knowledge and friendships. No kidding talaga. Anyway, I do appreciate the help from everyone here.

Did some tweaking sa projector...it's still not good but a "little bit more bearable".

Hi Dong. Ikaw pala yung pinag usapan namin ni Mike. We went out to lunch last Thursday. Ayos! Now, I have another pro to ask.
Fortunately, the HT is on the side of the house na walang neighbor. hehe.
Nice meeting you bro!

let me give you a bit of kulam  ;D i mean share ko lang what happened with my PJ journey.

my original plan was just to borrow our office's multimedia PJ, it's a Sony CS1 if am not mistaken. so nag DIY na ako ng screen using blackout cloth at gumastos ako not more than 500 pesoses  ;D ,
repainted the wall, load my gears to my DIY AV Rack, arrange the room then, wazza movie na.

anakngpating!  >:(

sumakit mata ko and frustrated talaga ako.  >:( ayokong manood na napipilitan lang ako.  ;)

at doon na nagsimulang mang hunting ng HTPJ ang pobreng si Praktikal! --- ng dahil sa cheap screen napabili ako ng AX!  8)

eto observation namin nung kasamahan nung chick na seller when we compared that Sony PJ vs the AX200: kaya pala parang masakit sa mata when watching using a data PJ - matalim ang fine cross lines (not pixels imo) na hindi ganun ka obvious. di lang ang PQ ang talo kundi mata mo. if i were you, stop using your data PJ na. hehe. just my humble opinion.  ;)

Thanks bro sa advice. Lucky for me, I only get to watch now on weekends lang. And you are right. Masakit nga sa mata. I do end up turning the PJ off and viewing the movie using the flat display lately. Naka line-up na yang HT PJ...actually, I am really itching to get one na but I am also planning to redo/transfer my HT to another part of the house. Maybe by Christmas ang PJ para mas madali ang WAF. hehehe. ;D

Bro alvin,

Ikaw ang IDOL ko. PERFECT score with a secret hehehe. But then again it was really a great feat to distinguish which is which despite the minimum amount of time we had to listen to each sample. Under strict conditions, it is said that a minimum of 15 minutes should be alloted to accustom an individual before one gets an aural picture to compare with another sample. But despite its peculiarities you got a perfect score. Bravo. Bravo also for our host for setting up a truly commendable shootout!

Great gears bro. Wish to drool over it one of these days. It is but my dream to have a room all for my hobbies and passion. two thumbs up!!!

Really funny! Lahat kasi were trying to listen to TrueHD. Dolby Digital is what I know. So yung opposite lang ang choice ko.

Nice to meet you bro! Actually, I noticed that the volume of Dolby Digital sounds louder than TrueHD...not necessarily that Dolby Digital is clearer. That is why we sometimes have the impression sa test that one is louder than the other even though the "volume settings" are the same for all samplings. I could be wrong here. Maybe it would be more accurate with a digital SPL meter. Clarity is sometimes not so obvious because there were a few times when I really could not tell the difference in the quality of sound between the two formats. I just picked the lesser volume of the two. Lucky shot. ;D

Hats off to our host for a REALLY GREAT TIME!
