Got mine last Friday! Nice meeting you Anson!
Timely upgrade for HD Format! Big difference with my existing Marantz Receiver!
Need to study the Manual too complicated hahaha! This time I need RTFM!
My upgrade advantages:
1. New HD decoding for BD movies (Superb)
2. Less Cables (no more tosslink all HDMI)
3. Remove my HDMI switcher ( It has 2 input 1 input) enough for me.
4. Remove splitter for my 2 subwoofer (RX-V663 is 7.2)
5. Better PQ (Deeper black)

I imported 7 units from the US (Black/110v units), sold them for 24k each. I believe the RX-V663 is now locally available for around 33k.

I finally found the time to hook up my unit last night.  It is really an upgrade from my previous Onkyo Tx Ds575 not only from 5.1 to 7.1
but for the PQ and SQ, with two subwoofer outputs, as well.  However, I have to crank up volume to -5db for a walloping experience.

I asked one of the AV distributors/shops at Park Square and it quoted a price of PhP36K, less 10% discount for cash purchase.
Anson's price is really a big bargain -  a price of a pre-owned unit for a brand new unit.  Up for u, Anson.

Unfortunately only the 7 of you were lucky enough to grab it for 24k. Baka may iba pang magtanong, hindi ko na kaya magpauwi ng RX-V663.

blued's last post killed my excitement.  did i just miss this by a couple of days/weeks?  i may have been busy then scouting for NMT when transaction for this 24k 663 happened.  congratulations to those 7 

anybody here who plans to bring some from singapore?     it might be cheaper there since they're made in malaysia.

What do you mean? Receivers are supposed to accept inputs, right? It can accept bitstream HD audio formats if that's what you meant.

This is an Amp yup it outputs all the HD signal to speakers. Are you saying those line level outputs? Offcourse, those outputs came from the decoded HD signals. I assumed you will be using outboard amps?

sir IMHO lang, i used onkyo 606 before buying this 663 and all i can say is, mas maganda talaga ang tunog ng yamaha compared sa onkyo

me too, i'll use my external amp for sure!... nabasa ko dito nag -5db na volume?... sa 659 ko -10db-15db preferred volume ko eh (di naman ako bingi). That's why i bought external 5.1 amp para di "pagpawisan" 659 ko  ... now @ -25db gud nako!

Post ako pics "pag nakuha" ko mamaya 663... magagamot na SARS ko! malapit nako gumaling!!! yahooo!!!

I think no one is deaf here.  Listening volume would really depend on how big the listening room is and one's preferred volume to enjoy one's movies.
