Night and day difference for me. Masyadong malayo sa katotohanan at ang panget talaga ng acting pag japan. Parang akala nila lagi nasa anime sila. Andaming plot holes.. squid games parin🥰

Post by: Disharmony on Nov 18, 2021 at 07:29 PM: Sayang yung subplot sa organ harvesting. Mas okay sana na motivation yun para sa mga VIP. Nabawi na nila gastos nila sa pagpapatakbo nung games, kumikita pa sila. Pero mukhang walang interest yung writers na mag-effort sa social commentary.

Sagwa pa nung acting, which is honestly a prevailing issue with Kdramas. Hindi pa ba obvious na conflicted yung bida na need niya isacrifice si tanders, kailangan natin ng 4,000 close-ups of his face groveling.

Pero ayos lang naman siya. A bit overrated but watchable and decent.

Sources tell Deadline that a new English-language Squid Game series is in the works at the streamer, with David Fincher coming on to develop it.

Although details are vague, rumors have been growing for several months about what Fincher could be up to next. While he could squeeze in a movie beforehand, insiders say the Squid Game series is likely the project Fincher commits his time to in 2025.

The Fincher series would mark the first English-language scripted Squid Game series, joining Hwang Dong-hyuk’s original Korean-language thriller.

That ep.1 was killer though, great way to re-introduce and end things for the recruiter.

As expected, the second installation of “Squid Game” has been an immediate and massive success. Season 2 debuted with 68 million views in its first four days of availability — more than any other Netflix series has achieved in its premiere week, beating a record that “Wednesday” set with 50.1 million views in 2022.

The season also rapidly landed on Netflix’s list of its most popular non-English language TV titles of all time at No. 7, which is measured across each series’ first 91 days of viewership. Season 1 of “Squid Game” currently sits at the top of that list with 265.2 views, but Season 2 has plenty of time to potentially cross that line.

Naturally, this made “Squid Game” Season 2 Netflix’s most-watched title of the week of Dec. 23-29. Season 1 also saw renewed interest, charting as the No. 3 non-English language TV series of the week with 8.1 million views. The week’s second-most-watched title overall was the Taron Egerton-led movie “Carry-On” (34.9 million views) followed by the Tyler Perry-directed movie “The Six Triple Eight” (23.3 million).

Unlike sa S1 na iniiwan ko lang tumatakbo sa background kadalasan kasi ang daming fillers at nakakabwisit karamihan ng characters, S2 was a massive improvement. Mas maganda pacing, yung mga subplots maayos pag-converge, and mas interesting karamihan ng mga characters. And Front Man being part of the contestants made for plenty of hilarious scenes.

I also enjoyed Gi-Hun's speech na kahit nakaangat sa taas si Salesman, he's still ultimately at the bottom which is a better social commentary than last season and ties into the cryptocurrency allegories.

Netflix has finally announced the Squid Game Season 3 release date for the upcoming third and final installment of the hit survival thriller. This comes after over a month since the show made a successful return with its 7-episode second season.

“Picking up where the second season left off, Season 3 explores the choices Gi-hun will make amidst overwhelming despair. As the Front Man plots his next move, the surviving players find their decisions leading to increasingly dire consequences with each round of the deadly games,” reads the official synopsis. “This season promises to push the limits of suspense and drama, keeping viewers glued to the action.”

Squid Game Season 3 will be available for streaming on June 27, 2025.
