hmm .. According to the Pin outs of the TP2050, Pin 25 is responsible for PwrDown or the Standby pin (part of the tripath's internal protection feature). This pin is connected to the voltage source coupled to a 10K transistor and a 1uF/50V cap.

If there was burn/melt marks, the cap and/or resistor may have failed bringing down the tripath chip with it.

That exactly what happened. :(  Pero kung may relay or delay switch ang Dta 100a, di mangyayari ito.

its been a while since i browsed thru pdvd threads.   iwas kasi sa gastos.. nakak enganyo kasi gumastos pag nagbabasa ka lagi dito.  hehehe.

back on topic,    my DTA 100a also broke down a few months back.   mukhang mahinang klase ang build ng T amp na to.   i never remember how it broke,  i never had my volume controls set to more than 12 o' clock.   basta one day, i tried to power it on wala na, ayaw na.     power supply is good naman.
