Being the most expensive series production to date, the first season was very underwhelming for me. It is reported that Amazon will spend 1 Billion Dollars for 4 full seasons. Hopefully the second season makes up for the first one. 2024 will be the release date of season 2.

The Rings of Power Season 2 Adds 8 Cast Members

Amazon has announced eight new recurring cast members for its upcoming second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

The second season of the hit series is still shrouded in mystery, but fans will see a handful of new faces join the series when it does premiere. The casting announcement includes Oliver Alvin-Wilson (Lovesick), Stuart Bowman (The Pact), Gavi Singh Chera (The Lazarus Project), William Chubb (Vampire Academy), Kevin Eldon (Game of Thrones), Will Keen (The Pursuit of Love), Selina Lo (Boss Level), and Calam Lynch (Bridgerton).

None of the actors’ roles are known as of yet, with much of the information regarding the second season of The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power being kept under wraps. Production for the second season of the series began in October 2022, with no release date currently set.

Middle-earth has a few new residents. Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear and Tanya Moodie have joined the cast of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” ahead of the series’ second season, Prime Video announced Monday morning.

Hinds, Kinnear and Moodie will feature in recurring roles through the upcoming season, which is currently in production in the United Kingdom. Hinds is an Irish actor, while Kinnear and Moodie are both British. Details regarding their characters remain under wraps.

Boring pa rin. Masyadong pa-impress sa special effects, i had to fast forward just to get to the dialogue. Nakalimutan nila yung emotions kaya walang pakialam ang audience sa protagonists

The writing is a disappointment considering the budget and scope of the production design. Great eye candy, sure, but you don't really get drawn into the story at all.

After seeing halfway of episode 1 in the first season, I stopped watching.

IMO, they should have used the Peter Jackson formula.

- Too woke for me. Overly trying to be more racially distributed.
- Elrond does not look like a elf
- Too dependent on special effects

I don't see Galadriel as a warrior, but more of a queen.
