nextbase nb-831 problem

i have a good player, nextbase nb-831. problem is, it stopped reading dvd's.  it can still play through usb, or vcd or dvd-r/cd-r's but not dvd's, original or not. sometimes it would just play the intro then freezes up. what's the problem here?  :-[
