Don't have a YES panel despite it's affordable price because I do put a premium on the brand equity going with the item.  However, I have seen this unit at Theatreworks Trinoma and it looks very clear with good picture quality, dare I say nearly comparable to the Pannie displays in the room as well.  Kanya-kanya namang preference yan eh.  If you're on a budget, not brand conscious and put a premium on nice PQ - yes... YES should be auditioned.   ;) Don't know about the longevity and after-sales service though - how it stacks up vs the more pop brands.

They openly say it has an LG panel, i don't know how true it is.

They also say that the bravia is using a samsung panel, ewan ko ba.

One thing i noticed sa Yes is the SQ. Its not as refined and powerful compared to the Samsung lcds or even panasonic plasmas

Saw the 42" plasma side by side with the PY700.

Same with Marl, if you are not brnad conscious and on a budget make sure to audition this brand.

It might be possible that they're using LG Panels ...but I am not so sure about it...

Re: Bravia using Samsung Panels...that would be a YES... (2004 pa pala!)
Sony - Samsung... this is what you call COOPETITION ... magkakaiba na lng sila ng engine pero ang panel

LG panel talaga. Php45k only if you guys dont mind the brand..
So far we have sold 132 units already, no defect. karamihan corporate companies kumuha. There are some individuals like walkin buyers at trinoma were able to purchase this unit so far happy naman sila. Parang price lang kasi ng 37" lcd ito. At least kahit pano plasma na. ;)

it should be priced lesser than the panasonic lcd's otherwise no one would buy it (you can get a panasonic 32 LE7 at P33k). I saw this yes brand being played alongside a panasonic and toshiba pero malayo ang picture quality niya. It wasnt as sharp and detailed as the jap brands pero with its features it might be worth its price.

Gulat din ako dun ah - 28.3k for a 32" Plasma :o .........LCD pala  ;D

So, YES brand 32" is 28.3k, while the Panasonic 32" LE7 at 33k - so difference is 4.7k?
If the PQ of the Pana is better than the PQ of YES and you'll be using it for years - I guess I wouldnt mind shelling out the additional 4.7k for it.

They were playing Pirates BR on both the Yes 42" and Pana 42".

saw that too. The Panny has better PQ. But if not side by side, the YES Plasma would be a bargain already. Was supposed to buy the 42" plasma but I got a better deal so pass muna.

got one for my parents room a 32" yes lcd, got it for 28k flat at listening in style. i also got a 37" toshiba c3500. when we tried it when they delivered the two panels, i used a i-robot dvd on a pioneer dvd player with component inputs. medyo malaki ang lamang sa pq ang toshiba. but for the price ok na sya for a 2nd lcd sa mga houses natin.  ;D  ;D  ;D
