whats frightening about it if you liked it?well, aside from the sound characteristic, your next concern would be its durability. obviously its new in the market, so you will be one of the first owners of Tangent...take the risk ;)
wala pa bang reviews sa net?

There are Tangent amps on the net when I searched google. Seems like a UK brand as most of the result sites are in the UK. Could be made in China already as most UK AV products are.

Tangent Amp100

With its aluminium front panel and rigid case, the Tangent AMP-100 offers superb build quality and finish for the price. Furthermore, when it comes to features, the AMP100 is unbeatable in its class. Featuring 4 line-level inputs, a recording loop and a Moving Magnet phono stage, the Tangent amp' can easily handle being at the heart of a comprehensive hi-fi separates system. In addition to this, Tangent includes a full remote control with the amp. This will not only control all of the amp's functions - including bass, treble, loudness and balance - but will also operate a matching Tangent CD and tuner.

Throw in a headphone socket and multi-function display and this is clearly one well-equipped amp. Given its long feature list and substantial 40x2 watt power output, the casing is surprisingly slim, and able to fit in with the most contemporary of designs. For a great sounding, great looking amp, with a long list of features, you need look no further!

Price:  £59.95 at Richersounds.

thanks for the replies sirs!

both the tangent 100 and the 200 are made in denmark still, saw it at the back panel. amp 200 even has a control for the sub out frequency. though i only auditioned the amp 100 nabilib ako talaga. the remote for the amp and the partner cd player are one and the same. hence if you purchase both you may use only one remote to control the two.

what bothers me is that at their website it does not show that they have the amp 200. tsk, tsk.

do you think its worth the risk? i know the owner of the store, eric lopez lim, though a businessman, he values friendship, so pag may problema nabili mo sa kanya, tulong sya agad. i got all my paradigm speakers from him (since 99)

regarding the price, the amp is about 35k and the cdp is 27. he can give both at about 55 to 60k. if the price of amp 100 is just 60 quid then it is just equivalent to P5400 at P90 ex rate. parang may mali ata sir av_phile1.

hmmmm ???

from your experience, you have already established a good buyer-seller relationship with eric lim base on your transaction history, thats very good.
my only concern is the price, acoustic dimension was the former distributor of Cambridge Audio when they were still located along Araneta ave. I rememberd inquiring an amplifier and cd player back in mid-2007, their price ranges from 21k-37k for models 340-640. I was not impress with the performance-price ratio, so I did not buy it. Sometime in October, a friend of mine who pesonnaly knows the owner of 5th Ave gave me a pricelist of the Cambridge Audio line as they are now the new distributor of this brand. The prices from 5th ave reached up to 15k lesser than acoustic dimension , it settled down to the price of NAD in the market.
From the price you have, it is in the level of Rotel.I hope it has the same sound and built quality as Rotel.
If you will be patient enough, baka bumaba pa yan. look into its technical data sheet, and make a comparison with NAD,Cambridge and Rotel and see where it would be more comparable.

You may want to grab it, just in case they made the wrong price tagging.   ;D

being in rockwell where the rent is definitely high I'm not surprised of the high markup to cover expenses and profit.  the grado sr60 which is price around 60-70usd, they sell it at 5,800.   ;)

@blackd70s

I got my 640A V2 at 5th ave. for only P19.5K. You may also try to ask Avesco Cubao kasi the last time I bought my 540C V2 cd player to pair with the amp, It was sold with 15% discount. At P21K SRP of the 640A Amp less 15% pa.

Hope this helps.
