The website says that the unit has an autovolt supply rating from 100V to 240Vac. This means that you can power it anytime without needing a transformer or AVR. May be you can use surge suppressor instead.

hi guys. i just got my vizio 47".

what i did was connect my old cable directly sa lcd unit ko. i get grainy pictures.  how do i fix this?

meron bang adapter from rg59 cable to hdmi cable to make viewing more clearer? (eto ba un hdmi cable from cdrking?)

meron din bang adapter for audio video cables to hdmi cable? ( for dvd player)

may nababasa ako pinapa calibrate un lcd units para gumanda resolution. if ever nag pa calibrate ako, magagalaw ko ba ulet un settings if i kalikot ko it by myself? or fix na?

sir,

1. Try buying a cable amplifier it might help in improving your cable tv reception.
2. Change your cable tv provider to sky cable digital
3. Try those external tv tuners from computer shops which can output through VGA or component video but with this route you will bypass the internal tuner of your tv.  I doubt though if this route could improve your cable output to your lcd tv.

Cable amplifier talaga sagot dyan. I used to have grainy pictures but after buying cable amplifier it made a big difference. Calibration can make the colors look better and more natural. The settings won't be fixed and you could still access the settings menu yourself. Some LCDs have programmable presets so that you can save the profesionally calibrated settings.

There are no rg59 to hdmi cables and even if it does exist I don't think it would give you better signal. There are devices that convert analog A/V to digital hdmi, just pm me I could hook you up with one.

Ok, sorry I didn't read that you already tried cable amplifier. Where did you put your cable amp? It should be placed as close as to the originating cable line as possible. Before, I didn't know any better and placed it besides the TV. There was no improvement on picture quality, actually the graininess got worse. After some research I placed it near the destiny cable wire, imediately I noticed a big difference in picture quality. My mom still thinks its the best A/V device I've bought, better than all my HT stuff combined. ;D

hi, regarding grainy pictures, you might wanna try changing the region to AMERICA. encountered this on my unit, plasma though, muntik na ako bumili ng cable amp, pero when i changed the region from China to AMErICA, malinaw na sya. just my 2cents.

From what I've read from other forums, the difference from 1080p and 720p are only noticeable in screen sizes bigger than 50". But I think it will really depend if you are really picky and have really good eyes.

Also you can also try anchit's suggestion. In my case I was having problems with my TV because I chose "asia" in the setup screen, I finally chose "CATV" to get it right.
