i think your best bet is still to bring it to the brand's service center, even if the warranty's expired already.

hope you won't mind me asking, how hold is your plasma and what is its problem...?

My brother bought a LG 42inch plasma about 3 years ago. I noticed there are random green blinking pixels (a lot) on the right and left side of the screen. You can really notice it when the the movie/game scene is black/dark. He told me it might have something to do with the cable for the PC/DVD he uses. What do you think is wrong with the plasma and does it need repair?

Looks like dead pixels.  I don't think that can still be repaired.

More like interferance from the cable/poor connection.

Diba plasma displays are use gases instead of pixels? (Not sure if I remember that correctly though)

I think 3 years is too early for a plasma to show wear and tear. So i am guessing that its either defective by production or has something to do with the cable or source!  :(
