Who is the repair guy?

Unfortunately I wasnt able to bring it to Mark. Medyo malayo sya from my place (South to North). I tried my hand here at one of our local repair shops who I have been dealing with when it comes to repairs of appliances and AC cleaning.  Sana maayos nila.

Power supply is the culprit. Cost of repair and parts would be around 5K.  having second thoughts in repairing a 12 year old TV since I wont even have assurance that it will last a year or two without any of the other parts breaking down.

I'm on the same boat two years ago, although mine is a Samsung plasma. almost same price to have it repaired (5k) so I decided to buy a Sony LED TV na lang.

Update...2 months in and wala pa daw parts.  Hirap daw sila import yung parts due to lockdown.

Is Sight and Sounds able to repair the Pana 42PV70H? Bought mine from them way back 2008 but is now busted. The TV changes channels/sources all by itself. It's like the remote is acting on it's own without me pressing any of the buttons

Bro my old CRT TV exhibited this same issue. Spray lang pala ng contact cleaner sa + and - channel buttons and it did the trick.

After 13 years, my pana pv70 is now showing symptoms. Mukhang mag reretire na. May pasulpot sulpot na ng flickering. I don't know kung magagawa pa pag pinagawa. Napakaganda pa man din ng pq nya. Nakakahinayang. Baka may mai-suggest kayo na repair shop.

3months and counting. still no parts

After almost 2 years of waiting for parts...I needed the space na so my beloved PV70 was sold to the neighborhood kalakal for Php200 pesos.  Binigay ko nga yung resibo sa bumili eh. Di sya makapaniwala na it was Php80K back then when new.  Sya na lang daw maghanap ng parts for it.  Hope he is able to revive it.
