the 3105 is selling at around 11-12k i think.  I have the same unit and the thing I love about the Philips DVDs is that they are not very choosy with the media. 

On the matter of upgradeability, take note that the wires of the speakers do not have jacks so you will have to do some splicing.  However, this is an  HTIB.  Changing the speakers wouldn't really do much.  Baka kung mag-upgrade ka, underpowered naman yung speakers mo.

my two cents worth.... u can upgrade your speakers as long as they are within the the specs of your AVR. i agree with sir dips15, if they dont match as far as the specs are concerned, chances are you might overpower/underpower either ur speakers or AVR. Please take note also (again in agreement with dips15) that since it is an HTIB, they have customized connectors between the AVR and the speakers which might require you to do some splicing...

pwede ba ito pang videoke? kase i was planning to buy Kenwood wortj 24,500 may AVR, bookshelf type fronts(2pcs) sats (2pcs) center sub and a teac dvd player..kaso namamahalan ang misis ko..so nag hahanap ako HTIB na mejo mura...pang videoke sana kase mahilig wife ko sa videoke e
