LG 5630 HTIB: Is it a good buy?
« on: Jun 23, 2003 at 07:56 AM »
I'm looking for a HTIB and saw this LG 5630 which is  pro-logic II ready and progressive scan already... Do you think this is a good choice?  Or should I consider other brands?   BTW, how important is Prologic II?

i would definitely suggest other brands. LG is yet to make a name in HTIB. just to be sure go for the more popular and tested Yamaha, Pioneer etc.

as for Prologic II. actually i think almost all HTs have this already. but honestly i dont really think its that important. for movies and music, Prologic II emits a very "artificial" sound

PARE. dont under estimate ang LG brand(made in Morocco). they have a fine line of HTIB.they are the first one who evolved in wireless surround which yamaha/pioneer dont have yet.
i own 1 of LG HTIB and im very satisfied of the sound.  with DTS/DD/PLii/PCM decoder n.it has DSP mode also.digital amp.i got it  only  for 12,000 and modified the system to incorporate with my massive DIY 5.1 Speaker system.100w-rms x5 and 350w-rms for my sub ;D
