My suggestions:
1. Stabilize HDMI audio and video
2. Provide an option so that the selection menu for movies has more films on one page and has smaller font so it can display a longer title (similar to eGreat)
3. Provide navigation to jump to a certain % of the file (similar to eGreat)
4. Provide keystroke shortcut to select 720p or 1080p (similar to eGreat)
5. Provide status screen (similar to eGreat)
I may be mistaken but I believe items 3, 4 and 5 are already featured somewhat in the HD-Pro, probably not exactly the same as e-great but functionally very similar:
3: The search by time function allows you to jump to ANY specific time in the movie (down to the specific second, if you want), and I also see how long the movie is while doing so. Coming from WDTV, personally I find this extremely useful, in fact, probably more so than jumping to a percentage.
4: The TV system button on the remote allows you to cycle through all possible resolution outputs available to the HD-Pro from NTSC (480i) to 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p.
5. The INFO button provides information about the movie while it’s running. I don’t know if it’s exactly like the e-great, but it’s useful to me as it is.
I agree with Item 2 though.
Either they change the layout of the screen: place the preview on top, and the titles below, which will have the benefit of the entire length of the screen to display more characters.
Or, make it a choice, if the above is not possible. If you toggle Preview Off, the list will occupy the entire length of the screen, and if you toggle to Preview On, the screen is as it is right now.
P.S. Naunahan ako ni bluebeard hehe
