Why do we love the analog sound of vinyl? Because it is natural. Why its analog sound is better than digital? Because the phonograph feeds frequencies via stylus direct from vinyl, which is very close to the original recording itself. No complex processing were in between the output of phonograph to amp. That's why it's analog sound is so natural or organic. We can also apply the principle of phonograph to speakers. The speaker with no crossover is more natural/organic analog sounding than those with crossover. The speakers with crossovers, are so clean and perfect esp.those high end branded ones. The question is, is it natural to have clean analog sounding? If the vocalist has imperfection with his/her timbre, and you did not hear it, means it is not natural or organic sounding. Parang bigas din yan..may organic (walang pesticide and artificial fertilizers) and non organic. Mas malasa at masustansiya ang organic compared to non organic rice. Akala kasi natin minsan, pag sobrang linis ng tunog tama na. Mali, dapat marinig natin ang totoong boses, totoong tunog kung pano siya na record. At magagawa lang natin iyon kung ang speakers natin di complicated ang circuit, as well as the amp itself and vice versa.
It is only my opinion. But you can ask yourself and other audio experts (musicians or recording engineers) about it. True audio experts have experience with instruments and studio audio recording. I learn from them and humbly accepts their opinions and experiences in audio.
