Topic: LCD TVs - help!!!

Hello Guys -

Patulong naman...  I  plan to buy a TV that I will mostly likely use (most of the time) for  PS3/wii and seldom, USB movies.  Features that I consider:

USB for movies (hoping also for mp3s; not necessarily for pictures)
refresh rate - mas okay kung 100/120hz pataas para hindi blurred (as from what I've read)
contrast ratio - hindi ko alam kung ano mas okay sa models sa itaas
full HD / HD Ready - hmmm... i want full HD... but HD ready is fine
screen size - the bigger, the better (but 32 is fine with me; so not really an essential)

I heard that LD460 models can play movies from USB but cannot play the sounds if it is DTS.  I have read some owners who post this kind of "encounter" (in other forums).

If you can/want to recommend other models (even from other brands), you're major major welcome (pero pa expound kung bakit  ).  2 weeks na akong nag-iisip kung ano bibilhin... jumping from forum to forum, to brand sites, review sites, etc.

budget is upto php40k.

if DTS playback is the only issue, get a 37inch LD460 then hook it up via a dedicated media player. all is well within your budget of 40K.

Or you can download and install this program to convert files with DTS into Dolby Digital!  Takes time but saves you at least 5k for buying a media player

go for the LD460 na. plus factor is you can play movies via hdmi na. kung gaming lang naman ang habol mo ayos na to except kung may DTS sa ps3/wii. 

kung sa movies naman you can always convert DTS into dolby digital as suggested by coach julio.

for me, full hd or hd ready doesnt matter. kung galing ka ng CRT tv maappreciate mo na agad ang upgrade sa lcd tv. mag 37in ka na dahil at 30k only, sobra sobra pa sa budget mo. idagdag mo nalang sa htib.

one thing lang is yun mga dark scenes, ive read from the other thread is medyo madilim sa ibang ps3 games.
