can I play any mkv file straight from any flash drive? any issues?

planning for this one. anything you can recommend? better than this on same price range?

Can anyone review this product including sd(analog cable), dvd performance from component cable and hdmi, dvd rips and 720p/1080p blue ray rips also in gaming... Cause im torn if im going for the 32" of KTC led or this. Thank you very much.. Also please post some pics.. ;)
