TAMASHI - 3,600 Pesos in Raon. Comes with a remote - tested it with a nextbase DVD, test tone - hiwa-hiwalay talaga ang sounds. Seems like a better buy than the rongxins.  

Also, the PROMAC 5.1 with floor standers - didnt get the chance to audition it though. Same price.

I think there's only 1 shop in Raon selling Rongxin 89dv. It's Hope Star.

I've also been wanting to audition the promac, kaso wala naman ako makita na nagbebenta

I was able to audition a NB 5.1 speakers ( cant remember what model though) also in Raon. I was not very impressed, perhaps its bcoz it was done in an open and noisy environment, which is why I chose the rongxin 89dv.

but hey! this is just me.

i have a rongxin too and maganda naman sya tumunog the downside is yung gain ng mga speakers ndi sya pwede macontrol.

last sunday ive auditioned some units sa raon yung una kong nasubukan eh yung trident. ganda ng itsura nya wala nga lang grill may mids and tweeters pa. yung sub nya down firing. and may remote! controlable yung gain nya sa rear at pag test ko medyo oks sya tumunog but not as same as the bass of rongxin. pag test ko aba ok gusto ko na bilin after ilang minutes biglang brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr nag break down ata yung amp ng sub. for 3,400 pesos sabi ko ayaw ko na heheheh.


sabi sakin try ko daw yung tamashi 5.1 mas mahal sya 3,600 pesos. ang maganda  sa kanya controlable yung gain ng fronts, rear at center apos push button sa looks mas ok itsura nung trident. pag demo ko mejo nde gnun kaganda ang sound pero pwede na yung bass is good enough pero rongxin pa din ako pag dating sa bass sya nga pala may remote din sha.

for 3,600 pesos versus 2,300 ng rongxin sa rongxin na lang. any price above that eh bibili nalang ako ng receiver. yun lang po.

I highly recommend the Rongxin 89dv for anyone who wants to have a really budget ht set-up. Maganda sounds niya and malakas na din ang bass for my taste. My player is nb 9000 and so far wala pa problem yung combination ng set-up ko.

@nescafe: Yung NB 9000 ko yung silver ang color and yun nga my speakers are rongxin. Actually yung set-up ko nasa kusina namin kase maliit lang bahay namin so yung tv malapit sa kusina. I recommend the rongxin kase malakas siya kung itotodo mo kahit nga hindi nakatodo medyo malaks na din. Malinaw yung sounds and malakas ang bass and best of all, under 3k lang. 89DV yung kunin mong model bro di ka magsisisi maliban na lang kung lemon, he he!

sa ghills puro 88dv ang available.

Yung sakin naman kuha ko 2,600 dun sa hopestar sa Raon 1 week warranty. Pinabili ko lang kase yun sa pinsan ko na may audio shop e siguro may tubo na din yun ng konti, he he! Pero ok lang kesa pumunta pa ako ng Raon e Laguna pa ako. Tama si sir Aston, madami sa greenhills yung 88DV nga lang.

DTS stands for Digital Theater Systems, to learn more about them, here's www.dtsonline.com. They're very similar with Dolby Laboratories but became more popular lately because it sounds better, because they use lesser compression.
5.1 stands for 5 channels of discrete(independent) audio signals, center, front left, front right, rear left, rear right. The .1 stands for the low frequency(Bass) signal channel. This is not a discrete channel but a combination of all the 5 channels except that it only receives the bass signals. It's called .1 because it only receives 1/10 of the entire audible frequency range(20Hz-20,000Hz).

Nextbase has a lot of models to choose from, pero kung gusto mong makamura, buy na lang one of their HTIBs(Home Theater In a Box). They sell for around 8,000, kumpleto na, dvd player, and 5 satellite speakers and a subwoofer.

Although, as I would always suggest, if you're patient enough and very interested in Home Theater systems, paunti-unti na lang ang pagbili ng components, so you'd be less likely to upgrade, and you'd make better choices that way, and buy the best that you could afford.

Hi, heres are the speakers I know of.

Nextbase : Ok din naman to, lalo na yun latest model nila na tig 5990 to sa Western Applicance store, sa raon 4000 lang. May remote siya and may Master Volume sa unit. Pwede ka rin amg select kung DVD, CD, VCD or T.V. ang setup mo, click mo lang yun button tos automatic na cya mag adjust, lahat ng speaker tumutunog kahit audio CD. Ok din.
Xenon: Ok lang kaso pag Audio CD 2 speaker lang ang tumutunog at walang remote. Pioneer ang nag handle neto, pag may sira pwede mo dalhin sa kahit anong repair store ng pioneer. mga 4990 ang price.
Promac: Ok din. at least branded at matibay, pero yung tunog hindi ganon kaganda. Makalansing.
ChangHong: Ok din to. Mura P 4000 branded. Di remote at may manual control. kung pang kwarto lang sakto na! sa Automatic centers meron.
Tamashi: mas Ok to kesa sa nextbase, mas malakas ang tunog 3990 sa raon. ok na din.

Pero ang recommended ko, Kinyo na 5.1 speaker. sa raon lang meron neto 5600, punta ka sa www.kinyo.com for more details. Na rinig  ko na para kang nasa sine pag nanunood ka. De remote din at may master volume control sa unit. 1 yr parts warranty at lifetime service warranty. Ok to Dude. Bihira lang nag benta neto, sa raon 2 store lang ang meron magkapatid pa yun may ari.

Check mo din yun creative na speakers. Ok din yun.

Tip: Kung bili ka ng speaker ipa-demo mo, i-todo mo lahat ng speaker pakinggan mo kung nababasag na yung tunog pag nka todo dapat hindi.

DTS and DD ready lang. so you need to have outboard decoder (DVD player)

If your asking kung yung speaker na 5.1 ay automatic na Dolby Digital or dts, the answer is NO.

5.1 refers to the number of channels and/or speaker configuration. Dolby Digital & DTS are surround sound formats of DVD-Video's soundtrack, Dolby Digital being the standard.
