Mahirap patulan sir.  Way too expensive.

Sayang ang pera even of you can afford it.  Kung sana perfect na ang performance, e hindi rin naman.

Any reviews on LG 55EC9300? Saw one going for Php114k. Was looking at the LG 55UF950T which is a 4k set when I saw the OLED set. Almost same price. 4k or OLED 1080p?

I made a survey with these choices before... http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,200175.0.html
But based from what you saw on both units, which do you think has the better PQ?
Or with that price range you may want to consider the bigger LG 65uf670 or 65LA9700 >:D

The space I plan to set the tv is best suited for a 55in set so am limiting my choices to this size. Would have preferred a flat OLED but it comes at a premium. I have not seen the 4K OLED yet locally but would think it'll be at least double the price of the OLED 1080p. Am just concerned on the durability of the OLED. I hear degradation in 2-3 yrs plus will I be missing out on WEBOS2.0 and 4k? I figure since there's not much 4k content anyway. Also am concerned what is the OLED display if my source is SD or cable. Will it be worse off?

I would suggest not to put so much weight WebOS or any other smart feature or even 3D in deciding which TV to choose ... those are features that you would not likely use in the long run ... i would recommend that you decide based on the picture quality and brand after-sales support

On the contrary, have used and enjoyed LG's 3D feature. Not so keen on SMART tv features before since I used to connect a media player with built in Android. But the idea of having fewer devices hooked up and limiting it to 1 game console and AVR, will produce less clutter. Most manufacturers tend to put all the bells and whistles only on the top of the line models and these features include the best in delivering better PQ along its range. For the OLED, am more concerned re its durability, ease in calibration, fix-ability (will Local LG be able to service this given its limited quantity in the Phil.), etc. Is 4k a feature or the future?

Despite its flaws, I'd still get the OLED TV. When I saw one on display, I told myself it'll be my next upgrade. Even if it's "just 1080p", the overall PQ just won me over.

if they would only make one gigantic oled panel with no bells and whistles to bring the cost down, ill go for oled over 4k.

i agree with most of the comments.. the os is just a novelty. after 1 or 2 weeks, disregarded na sya.

just thinking of the black levels in a dark room is making my mouth water now.

Panasonic OLED prototype solves the vignetting problem (dark edges) of LG OLED:

Panasonic TX-65CZ950 4K UHD OLED TV Eyes-on Preview
Back in June we were given an exclusive first look at Panasonic’s first consumer OLED TV
by Phil Hinton
Sep 2, 2015

... One thing I noticed on perhaps the second pass of the demo loop was that the uniformity of the Panasonic OLED image was significantly better than the LG. On the LG there was a vignette (dark edges) effect where on the CZ950 the image went to the complete edge of the panel with no dimming at all. This highlights two things to me 1) the engineers have been listening to feedback on the LG sets and 2) with the correct image processing employed it needn’t be an issue. This wasn’t any trick either as I continued to check this well into the demo session and then again in the HDR section. The uniformity, certainly on this pre-production Panasonic was excellent.

1080p OLED or 4K OLED? Last check, it's a 30k difference. One can argue that there not much available 4K content but on the other hand it's kinda future proof esp once 4K blu Ray is available. What do you think?

1080p for me. I'll wait until 4K content becomes more mainstream. By that time, upgrade na lang ulit hehe
