Definitely not normal.  Was the unit that got delivered sealed and bnew?
Kaya nga e, taga Panasonic pa daw ang kausap nya na nag iinsist din na normal because of inconsistency

Wala sya hard plastic strap to keep it sealed. inalis lang yung white objects para ma unlock. Remote, accessories, sealed. Once nag connect sa wifi, asked for a system update.

Hello. Meron akong mag-3 years na LG C1. Nagkaron na sya ng burn-in ng TV Patrol logo and the sign language interpreter sa box. Wala ng remedy yun no? I just have to live with it.

Afraid not. Kaya C1 ko bine-baby ko talaga. I avoid watching news there (notorious mga news or anything with OSBs to cause burn ins) and nung nanood ako Olympics sa Cignal, I kept switching to something different every hour.

I think meron screen refresh ang LG OLEDs. It is not recommended to use regularly, but can be triggered on rare occasions. Not sure if this will work, but maybe worth to try.

Isa pang meron logo is yung HBO go.  Sana pwede tangalin yung mga logo or any stationary image on the channels.

i hope makahanap ka ng ibang dealer. Ako noon sa fb marketplace lang din, pero much better yung service. Then again, the tv was good out of the box. Till now wala naman issue. Lampaso nga nya kahit yung mas bago kong LG na OLED.

Any TV calibrators here? Wanted to try if the price is right :). For those who have tried, worth it ba? TIA

I calibrated my own LG OLED C1 since I already have a colorimeter for my PC monitor. I had to shell out of a 1-year license for the Calman Home LG software to calibrate each of the display modes of the TV (SDR/HDR/DV/Game Mode HDR/Game Mode SDR), which is also a time consuming process.

For me it's worth it because I'm already used to consistently color accurate displays and to my eyes, I get bothered when the colors are off especially for the skin tones and shadow details.

For most people, I would guess that the accuracy of the factory calibration for the industry standard FILM MAKER picture mode with some tweaks for personal taste will suffice so professional calibration may not be worth it.

----------

I just saw HDTVTest's review of the LG C4 OLED and I'm actually tempted to upgrade to this. The new model now has an MLA panel and the peak brightness  can hit around 1000nits, plus it has a 144Hz refresh rate mode.

Tried to order from fb marketplace ng Panasonic 65JZ1000S @52.5k.

True. I buy from online sellers but pickup at store. Ansons usually nagbabagsak ng price, volume ang habol

Thanks. Pang condo that might be rented so I don't want an OLED or other expensive TV.  What's your experience with Xiaomi?

Never had a Xiaomi TV but I am a fan of the value that you get for the price you pay.  Software support on my old MiBox is still ongoing (just got updates even at 5 years old). It's a one-year warranty only though, similar to Samsung.

TCL P series is a good value too (below 45k on FB), but the C-series from 2023 is a better value with a better QLED panel for an extra 5k.  But since it's not for your personal use, the P-series will do.  TCL PH follows a 2-year warranty.

Skyworth, and Hisense are also other brands to look at as they seem to go on sale quite a lot both in stores and online.  Sharp seems to also do a lot of discounts, but they only sell 70" panels and no 75" in the PH, AFAIK.

Does this need to be activated via LG's service menu thru a special remote controller?

You can use ordinary remote.  -> Pixel cleaning
