Bihira sa media player ang may magandang dac. Kung media player gagamitin mo, add ka ng external DAC.

Pwede din gamitin yung DAC ng CD player at input yung media player via optical cable (kung may digital in)

^ you already have a great CD player sir

if you want to go to digital files route..if you will use a media player..I am pretty sure you will need an external DAC to compete with your CD player's DAC..also, if hindi din hassle naka on TV or display mo when browsing music pwede mo try route na yun..

I compared my Popcorn Hour C200 Connected to Rega DAC vs Laptop Connected to same DAC... I didnt like the SQ of Popcorn Hour even with same DAC.. Also didnt like it using its own DAC.. This is just for Music Files only..

you will be using the DAC of your CD player to use with the media player. That way mas maganda ang magiging output ng sound than using the built-in DAC of your media player. Connect the digital out (coax or optical) of your media player to the digital in of your CD player. Enjoy!

Yeah sir superman is right, all you need and want is in here na, pwede mo pa iback-up sir mga CD collection mo. Check this out,  ;)

The newest addition to the family, Cocktail Audio X30
The ideal Hi-Fi component for audiophiles, gadget geeks and music lovers of all ages.

The X30 is a complete HiFi system that has a cool running 50w per channel amplifier, radio, online music services, a CD ripper and storage system along with inputs for both analogue and digital sources that you may already own.

It is a breeze to operate with either the remote control or your Smartphone/tablet using the free App available online. It has a built in colour screen and can also output to your TV via HDMI so you can easily keep an eye on what is going on.

One of the coolest features is the ability to record from the built in radio or external sources like your turntable. You can easily archive your vinyl for example and then play them back along with your CD collection with just a touch of the remote or App - all from the X30's built in storage disk.

The system offers great audio quality with a clean punchy sound, a wide range of compatible music files up to 24bit/192k HD sound and will stream to or from other DLNA compatible music players around your home.

i remember starting a similar thread on this a while back (not exactly sure if i did it on this site or some other site).  being the cheapskate that i am, tried it out with the following gear:

setup 1:
HP MP200 media player --digital coax cable--> Denon DAP2500a DAC

setup 2:
(generic) Pioneer DVD Player --digital coax cable-->  Denon DAP2500a DAC

* media: FLAC files for the media player and an audio CD from the same FLAC files

the result was as expected. my generic DVD player sounded way better than the multi media player in all aspects.
