I initially subscribed to Netflix because of those Marvel series like Daredevil, Luke Cage etc and was very disappointed that Marvel/Disney pulled out these show on Netflix to prepare to launch their own Streaming service.
Firstly, I don't see these Marvel series to be the same again on a Disney platform. These gritty almost R rated Marvel shows would be trimmed down to accomodate a more 'Disney" like rating bearing the Disney name. So I'm definitely out if this Marvel show if it happen.
Secondly, I already fell in love with my Netflix. Those shows that were mentioned in the article like The Office and Friends were my once favorite and have watched that a thousand times already in my movie library files. The Netflix inclusion is just a bonus but not a must form me. I am more into the Korean, Japanese. Asian, Tagalog, UK, European, Documentaries, etc genre content on Netflix more than those sub par (IMHO) US tv shows or movies. Besides, those blockbuster movies (Avengers, Star Wars) I already watched in a THX movie house and/or have downloaded a DD/5.1/Atmos version already.
So I do not see myself subscribing nor switching to another streaming platform like Disney. One streaming platform - NETFLIX is enough for me. The rest I will just go back to the old reliable T downloading.
The article is like a Disney press release. They are like saying that a lot of Netflix subscribers would swift to Disney +. I don't see this happening. Majority of people won't be subscribing to more than 1 or 2 streaming services. Actually it would be a challenge for Disney (and the other upcoming streaming platform) to even reach half of Netflix' numbers and content.
