4K player recommendations
« on: Sep 10, 2021 at 03:45 AM »
I've had a basic LG 4K player for some time and would like to upgrade.

Any recommendations?

Looking to upgrade to a mid-tier model that's budget friendly. :)

been looking for one too. I recently bought a LG 4k player too from a member here couple of weeks ago but it was a disappointing transaction. Well moving on from that, I been aiming for the Reavon UBR-x100 (seems like a rebadge from OPPO's UDP-203 w/c I have one also & has given me great satisfaction for 4k & dolby vision viewing over the years) around P45k. Just waiting for stocks to arrive, the sole distributor is here in Cebu.

The Panasonic UB820 Anya is selling has great reviews too & is around P28k.

I have the sony x700 and the panasonic ub820. Sony is very nice for entry level and the panasonic is a fantastic player for the mid level.

For high end, puede panasonic ub9000 or the new reavons, as mentioned by sir sunset blvd.

Are there any local sellers here that sell an ordinary blueray player? just going to use it to watch blueray concerts.

Maybe around 5k? Not going to buy 4k player yet.
Not sure if the LG blueray players are still available nowadays.

The cheapest alternative is to get an external bd-rom player (USB), which should be under ₱4k, then connect your laptop/computer/media player to the TV.

I think the current sellers of 4K BD players here are anya618 and ferdinand. Check out their respective selling thread in the "Video Sources" board of the Marketplace.
