nakakatawa yung interview ni Mark Cuban re Jalen Brunson. Now he is blaming the father of Jalen for "being involved" that's why they weren't able to re-sign him.
As a father...would you let your son be lowballed by this shrewd owner knowing full well that your son can get more in the open market? Syempre you will get involved and give sound advise to your son Yun naman talaga nangyari eh...they lowballed him so he didn't sign and waited for other offers. Apparently, Brunson's father was an NBA player as well. He knows how the entire thing works. Eh nagkataon na yung dating nyang agent is now the President of Basketball Ops ng Knicks (Leon Rose). Nag offer ang Knicks sa kanya ng 104M. Even though DAL had Bird Rights on JB, Dallas wasn't in a position to offer more without trading other players which they refused to do. Ayun JB became a Knick.
As early as 9 months ago, Jalen Brunson was already being eyed by NY as their prime target in free agency. Don't tell me that the entire DAL organization weren't aware that they can lose him to another team.
https://dailyknicks.com/2022/06/27/missing-jalen-brunson-leon-rose-first-knicks-failure/Now they will be forced to move heaven and earth to re-sign Kyrie (at his astronomical 250M+ asking price) because they wouldn't want to be the franchise that lost two key players in 2 years without any compensation. If that happens you can bet that they will lose a 3rd player in the near future and that is Luka.
Production wise kaya sabayan ni JB si Kyrie....at a fraction of the price. No off court issues, younger, not injury prone and most importantly...JB was able to co-exist with Luka on the court really well. More importantly, they could have used the extra cap space to sign other key players that they need.
