suddenly the lakers didn't have the leverage on a trade if they still holding on their 2027 & 2029 1st rounder, they want those picks to be heavily protected and exchange their craps (pat bev & a nunn) for reliable rotational players..
another season wasted, maganda sana western conf. playoffs kung kasali big market teams like the lakers..

If they don't pull a trade by the All Star weekend and if mathematically out na sila for the running for the play in, my best guess would be that they will shut down LBJ or AD or both soon after the All Star Weekend. 

Then during the offseason the ff players will be off their books:

- Russel Westbrook  (47M)
- Pat Bev (13M)
- Lonnie Walker (7M)
- Kendrick Nunn (6M)
- Troy Brown (1.8M)
- W. Gabriel (1.8M)
- Thomas Bryant (1,8M)
- Dennis Schroder (1,8M)
- Toscano Anderson (1.8M)
- Austin Reeves (1.8M)

They could then pivot and sign outright any the ff:

- Miles Turner
- Bojan Bogdanovic
- Nikola Vucevic
- Kevin Love
- Caris Lavert
- Christian Wood
- Cam Reddish

or any other Unrestricted Free Agent WITHOUT losing the 2027 or 2029 first round picks.  They could basically start out the 2023-2024 season with a completely revamped roster without sacrificing their long term future.

I think this is what they will do if by end of January eh wala pa ding trade.  They have to get it right this time around coz after this season eh 2 years na lang si LBJ.  AD as well.

Masyado silang naipit sa salary ni RW this year (47 Million Dollars....he is the highest paid Laker) . They weren't able to get good players to round up the roster

Actually bro they already lost 3 games because they couldn't get the deal done in the final minute or so.  The IND game plus PHI and BOS.  Had they closed out those 3 games eh their record would be 14-13...good enough for the 7th to 8th spot in the West.
